My friend and I arrived at the park hotel. Everything was organized and we immediately got our beautiful room. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Our luggage was taken to our room while we were out in Amsterdam. The hotel has a perfect location in the city center and opposite a bus stop for the costumes. Momo the...

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Park Hotel Amsterdam. And it did not disappoint. Great location, small but beautifully appointed rooms with the most exquisite bedding and friendly and highly efficient staff - in my view, the only place to stay in Amsterdam. And close to the recently renovated Rijksmuseum, the van Gogh museum and...

The location of the hotel is excellent for a short break to Amsterdam, particularly for the museum quarter, while the Vondelpark is located directly behind the hotel. There is also a smattering of good restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel's own restaurant, Momo, is a mixed bag. The food is tasty but the attitude of some of the staff is...

Enjoyed our stay in this modern hotel. Requested twin beds which worked perfectly for my daughter and I. I also requested an executive room so we would have the privacy of a walled in bathroom. Conveniently located to all the museums and areas we cared to visit.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
