My husband and i stayed at this Park Hotel over Easter as part of a birthday surprise after I was recommended the place by a work colleague. It's in a great location to explore all of Amsterdam and we were really impressed with the lobby and overall feel when we came to check in. To be honest our room was...

Booked this hotel without a lot of research and was pleasantly surprised. Staff were great, rooms were very modern and hip, although i didn't care for the carpet. There was some tram noise but they stop around midnight. They location turned out to be A1. We arrived after a river cruise and disembarked near the train station. As it turned...

I spent 6 nights in this hotel and Honnestly I can't understand how it can have 4 stars in the Trip Advisor rating. For me this hotel is just an Etap Hotel made up with some luxury details. The maintence is bad and the cleanliness not so perfect To begin the room is just one bed (too soft) with a...

They nickel and dime you for everything. For example, had to pay to use their computer in the lobby. Had to pay for Internet access in the room. We stayed at a hotel in Zwolle before coming to Amsterdam. All of this was simply part of our stay there in Zwolle.

It is a beautiful hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic for people watching and access to the tram system. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, beautiful presentation and delisious. Nice wine list as well. We will be back!

Thank you for choosing Park Hotel and sharing your kind words with us. I do agree on the location, Park Hotel is only a stone warp away from Leidseplein that offers access in all directions of Amsterdam centre. I am glad to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience with Park Hotel during your recent stay! I hope to...

I booked a room here 3 months in advance that was to be a Superior Room with a queen size bed. The cost was $215 (US Dollars) per night plus taxes and fees. Upon check in I was sent to a room that was about 10'x10' in size and had a single bed. It was seriously no bigger than the...

Maybe that's a bit of an ironic title?! I just stayed here to attend a regional sales meeting of our company, i.e. we were at least 25-30 people. Including the stay(organized by hotel) was a boattrip along Amsterdam´s canals, meeting room arrangements and a lunch. What I mean to say, we left some money" here!! When I checked in, I...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
