Everything about this hotel was great except it was too hot at night and made it hard to sleep. The AC wouldn't go down any further than 20 C, which was hot to me. I ended up taking the duvet insert out of the comforter and finally slept better. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel since it was expensive...

Beautiful hotel, luxurious rooms with nice touches. Wonderful staff. Restaurants on site were excellent. We had a room high up with great views of Amsterdam. Good location in walking distance to the city. I would visit again.

Due to its height, this 23 storey hotel offers unparallel views of Amsterdam. However, its off-centre location means that the best way to get to town is via Amsterdam's efficient and manned (conductors are helpful) tram system. There's a tram station 5 minutes walk away around the corner. There's also plenty of restaurants in the area for breakfast and dinner....

On arrival we were greeted by an extremely friendly and welcoming doorman who walked us to the counter. Check in was made a delightful process as it was extremely quick. My room was beautiful and my girlfriend was very pleased. I am extremely messy and turned the room into a tip before going out. On return every day without fail...

I've been completely peeved during my stay here. There seems to be an air-conditioning problem across the hotel and no apparent effort to fix it. I'm three nights into my stay here and nothing but eager to check out tomorrow. The AC worked just fine the first night. The second night I woke up at 4am sweating because the room...

This hotel is immaculate and luxurious. We were upgraded to an executive room as a courtesy for our 14th Anniversary. We found a complimentary bottle of sake and fresh strawberries in our room. Beautiful big room , high floor, beautiful view and automatic digital shades. The bathroom is a sanctuary. The restaurantes in the hotel are expensive and luxurious but...

Good , clean but modern hotel. It is out of city centre touristy area with many good restsurants, cafees and restaurants. The downside is 10 min walk from tram station to the hotel. Ir is a bit impersona , can be anywhere in the world.

My partner and I stayed at the Okura for 3 nights. To be honest, we had a quick look around but we didn't have time to use the incredible facilities but I would highly recommend doing so! The spa and pool are beautiful, the restaurants are modern and from what we heard from others staying at the hotel, the food...

I was pretty disappointed with my stay at the Okura hotel and not quite sure why it is listed as a 4 star. It is miles away from the central part of Amsterdam, over 1 hours walk. The rooms were old and dated and very basic. The bed was comfortable but the check in was the slowest anywhere in the...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
