Been there three times (2012-2014), first of all, the location is second to none, right opposite the Nieuwe Kerk and the Royal Palace, just about ten minutes walk from the Amsterdam Centraal (or two short tram stops). Breakfast is served in the art nouveau interiors...More
I have been to Amsterdam 15 times now, and this is my favorite hotel here, awesome location, super staff, and the rooms are big, i like the hotel'S design, and the food in the restaurant down is off the hook

This hotel has great location, very easy to walk to everywhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful, clean rooms although small like most rooms in Europe. The biggest drawback to this hotel is the noise from within the hotel. We had to move rooms...More
This hotel was very centrally located - within walking distance of Dam Square. It was just a short walk from Cental Station, however if you don't want to walk you can get a tram from outside the central station which stood right outside the hotel....More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

to get to the hotel by publick transport is the cheapest way and really easy one. Tram #1, #2, #5, #13, #17 will bring you direct in front of the main entrance of the hotel, where we are going to wait for you=) It takes about 10 minutes walking along the street named Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal to reach Die Port van Cleve, where we are still going to wait for you=)
