After a terrible experience with a hotel round the corner, we pushed to boat out and grabbed a room here at The Hoxton. A brand new place, I wondered if it's smooth, hipster appearance would be too out of my league and snooty... I was so wrong: The gang invited us in from the warm, so happy, so chilled and...

Struggling to find negatives? We’ll take that! Glad we were able to fix your time in the ‘Dam with a bottle of bubbly and a view – always brightens up our day ;) Thanks for taking the time to review, the breakfast fairies can’t wait to have you back (and they’ll show you how to get around those corridors)!

A mixed review of this recently opened property, sister property to the London ones: Confusing Arrival - Upon arrival on a Friday evening, there is a small crowd of young people smoking outside of the door. The person guarding that door isn't the polite doorman you would expect in a five-star hotel, he's the epitome of a grumpy nightclub bouncer...

Hey there, thank you very much for taking the time to review. We’re very sorry to hear you had mixed feelings leaving The Hox – while we’re happy you liked our reception team, we are very sorry to hear that your interactions with the doorman were not up to our own brand standards. Big fans of Wallpaper*, you must go there. For the ones who don't know, give it a try and you'll adopt The Hoxton. Great service that helps you feeling at home. We really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere was great, staff were really helpful with lots of good recommendations for food and things to do. We love spending time at the Hoxton in London but we enjoyed the one in Amsterdam more. It's much more charming and cosy than the photos on the website and trip advisor show. We had the...

The pictures don’t do us justice? WOW! So glad you liked our pad and were able to catch some great tips for the town from our front office team. We hope to see you back in both London and Amsterdam!

Was my first visit to Amsterdam and would definitely return again to stay at the Hoxton. Staff were friendly, the room was clean and cosy - very small but we were aware at this at the time of booking. The restaurant attached served good food and the hotel itself was in a great central location.

Few places have I stayed in the world that exude as much cool matched perfectly by service as the Ace hotel..... until I stayed here. This hotel is hipster hotelier perfection. First, the good bits: The Hoxton is perfectly located. If you don't mind walking, you can be at the Central Station in 15 minutes in one direction, and the major museums (Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk and Van Gogh) in 15 minutes in the other direction. I'm a big fan of good renovations of old buildings, and this place hits the right notes....
