We had the 'cosy canal view' and it was on the smaller size but just perfect for 2 of us. Complementary breakfast was an excellent idea. you have to be at reception between 8-9 am for the free bikes but well worth it. Will be coming back to this hotel next time.

Our weekend in Amsterdam was made perfect with our stay at the Hoxton. Great room overlooking the canal (requested in advance), Bar/resto on the ground floor was a great spot to both have a meal or a drink at the end of the day. Services great, prices reasonable for its class. Fairly central location, but not noisy. Staff is young...

Stayed for two nights leaving Christmas morning, from the second we stepped through the door to leaving it was a fantastic experience, the location is hard to beat for a stay in Amsterdam, easy access to trams/taxis and so close to Dam square. We had a lovely view of the canals from our massive room, 4 enormous floor to ceiling...

Me and my husband stayed here for 4 just nights. It's a very stylish hotel. Reading the other reviews, I have to say we didn't receive any of the great attention from reception. Took us a while to check in as we were ignored and other people served. We got into bed on the first night and found that we...

The hotel has everything you need. It's warm and welcoming without any pretensions. Staff are friendly and knowledgable, beds are large and comfy. The breakfast delivered to the room is fine. The hotel is fairly central and in a beautiful canal side setting. The only complaint, and this is a minor one is that the lighting is too low everywhere...

Wonderful stay at the Hoxton! Super friendly staff. Gave the best restaurant tips even though the restaurant at the hotel is also very good. The hotel is located within central amsterdam. Walking distance from everything. Lovely view. Such a comfortable room, with great beds. Cool breakfast idea and would go there again!

Was visiting Amsterdam for a weekend as a stopover before my end destination. Booked the Hoxton based on good reviews and location and was in no way disappointed. This hotel is a trendy, happening hotel that reflects the life and vibrant side of Amsterdam. The staff are overwhelmingly helpful, with tours, transfers - they even recommended a fantastic lunch spot...

This is a truely wonderful hotel, situated on a canal with a beautiful lobby/cafe. I arrived and greeted with water by the manager. He was lovely, very helpful and could tell he ran a tight ship. He was more than willing to help us with any questions or suggest things to do in Amsterdam. The rooms were spacious, large beds,...

This is a really charming hotel with great location. The staff is young and very helpful. The rooms are beautiful decorated with comfortable bathrooms. You can get your delicious a la carte breakfast in the restaurant or have a yogurt and granola "in room" that comes with the price. I would prefer the usual breakfast buffet. In the afternoon the...

Great points – lovely and helpful reception staff (gave us an amazing restaurant recommendation), nice rooms, super comfortable beds, lovely toiletries (wish they were for sale), beautiful cut glass and free milk and water in the room, amazing location, cute breakfast bags (though not very ecological and could do with some variety) with delicious orange juice, really reasonable and nice...
