During my recent visit to Amsterdam I stayed at this hotel. Two stand out features staff were fantastic and the location of the hotel is excellent with all of Amsterdam's key attractions nearby. Breakfast was a little average and the rooms very small without a fridge or iron. There is a gym nearby called TrainMore $15 euro entry and they...

We spend a few days in the Westcord City centre hotel over the past few days. We had stayed in the Westcord Art in the past and because this was good we booked the city centre sister hotel this time. Because it is so centrally located we loved it, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go which...

We stayed here for 3 nights and were really pleased with our choice. Better than some 4 star hotels we have stayed in. Efficient check in with a big smile from Bruno, and we got upgraded to a deluxe room, and had free breakfast on the next morning. Really grateful for that. Great location, within walking distance of most key...

Just returned from a four day break. The reception were very helpful in answering several requests prior to our stay. Great location, 5 mins walk from central station and about he same to Dam square. Very basic supplies in terms of toiletries (shower and hand washes only). Also minimal tea and coffee supplies but we just bought our own to...

The rooms are incredibly small. No surfaces in the bathroom to put down toiletries, and no space on the room for our two (carry on sized) bags. We changed to a different room, but the quarters were cramped. It's supposed to be non smoking, but the halls reek of smoke. Loud parties in the hall kept us up each night,...

Good Value For Amsterdam And Good Location. The room was a decent size for 3 people with a good shower. The only down side was the pillows were a bit soft for my liking. The shower and toilet is separated by a partly frosted glass partition so this might put some people off although it didn't bother me

Just back from a 3 night stay in the Westcord - location is fantastic, staff are friendly, rooms are a bit small but this is my only criticism and not really an issue as we were out enjoying this fantastic city most of the time! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning!

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
