Close to everything! ideal location for exploring the city, even in the coldest temperatures in winter. short walk from Amsterdam Central, Dam Square and the red light. very helpful staff ensured we didn't miss out on any discounts for attractions.

Great choice for a recent 4 night stay in Amsterdam. Only 5 minutes walk from the Central Station and close to Dam Square and other sights. Rooms are a little small but include a Nespresso coffee machine, safe and hairdryer. Comfortable beds. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Great value for money. Would highly recommend to others.

It's only 6 min walk from Amsterdam Central, and near the dam and red light district, which is great if you are exploring the city at night. The room was a bit small, and it's weird that while they have the control panel of the air-conditioning in the room, you have to ask the staff if you wanna change the...

Ideally located just a short walk from Dam Square and Central station, the Westcord was a good choice for a city break. Not all of the rooms are the same standard though; my husband and I were given a very small room with single beds (despite booking a double) with barely any room to move around in; we felt like...

I have reviewed this hotel before, but feel I should do so again. My wife and I booked a stay of a few days in April for my birthday. As I have said before, this hotel is very convenient, being only a 10 minute walk (if that) from Amsterdam Centraal Station. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable, but...

This is a great hotel with great staff who can't do enough for you. They noted it was my birthday and sent up balloons and a card and bottle of wine to the free upgraded room. The hotel is located very close to Dam Square and to lots of shops and the red light area. The hotel walking distance too...

We stayed 5 nights the first week of April. We arrived very early on a Sunday morning and went directly to the hotel to see if we could store our bags until check-in. We were greeted by Fleur, who was extremely helpful and friendly. We paid an extra 10 euro per night for a "room with a view" and stayed...

Nice clean hotel fairly central in Amsterdam a short walk from the station, restaurants and the sights. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. We were expecting to just leave our cases as we were very early for check in, but we were told a room was available. The room was small but we were only sleeping in it....

I have been to Amsterdam 10 times and have stayed at different hotels. I have finally found one that I will return to. Great rooms, perfect location and great staff. Next time i might spring for one with a view. The rooms are small but it is Amsterdam.

Clean, comfortable, central. Helpful staff, breakfast buffet available if you want it (didn't try it so can't comment bug it looked lovely) Lots of choices of restaurants and breakfast places in the vicinity and literally a 5 minute walk to Dam Square. They were happy to store our luggage for a late flight.

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
