A beautiful, comfortable hotel with beautiful panoramic views of the city and canal. Our room was on the 9th floor and was most comfortable. Only thing, the air con was very noisy, so had to turn it off at night. Food was amazing, especially in Roberto's for dinner. I highly recommend the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel.

First, the location. Easy to get to via bus from Schiphol. In a quiet residential neighborhood overlooking a canal and lovely homes. There are restaurants and some shops within a six minute walk. If you want a bar of chocolate or a box of crackers, expect to walk, no 7-11 or similar close by. Second, the people. Wow everyone went out of their way to be helpful from the Front Desk (changing cash, adjusting reservation, noticing we were charged for two rental bikes, not one ), to the fantastic Concierges and bell staff (who arranged for bikes, taxis, package drop off/pickup) to the unflappable wait staff in Roberto’s for a wonderful buffet. Third, if you’re a Hilton Diamond, there is a charming lounge on the top floor — all windows overlooking the City. Drinks, food, snacks, wifi, all very nice. Fourth, the rooms we had was more than sufficient for our 3 day visit to AMS. Clean with crisp linens. USB ports galore for charging. Would I stay here again? Definitely. It’s away from the crowded scene but only a 15 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum (sp?) and the Van Gogh museum.

Way over priced... Needs a makeover. Elevators look very old and a simple repainting and polishing could be enough. You can tell that the maintenance department needs to wakeup. I requested a late checkout but was told the hotel was full. They did not even extend my checkout time by an hour although I'm a loyalty member, and that benefit is standard.

Just outside the main tourist area of Amsterdam this is a great hotel with excellent services and facilities plus benefits from having ample parking which is a real plus. The hotel has its own stretch of the canal with a lovely relaxing garden area to use.

Would highly recommend. The hotel is a bit aged but very well maintained. The staff was an 11 out of 10 stars! Every staff member we met was incredibly hospitable, very helpful and professional. The food and drink options are a bit limited but when we ate there it was excellent. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a great job. The rooms are very quiet. Location-wise it is a nice walk to the art museums and ~45 min walk to the Anne Frank museum- bit bit of a longer walk; strongly recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

We paid for a “junior suite” with a king bed and were given the Starry Night Suite. Unfortunately, I don’t feel we got what we paid for. The bed was smaller than king size and has a headboard and footboard so feels even more cramped than the typical hotel bed with no footboard. I’m only 5’8” and my feet hit the footboard when I turned over in the night; if you are much taller than me you will be very uncomfortable. (I used my wingspan to measure the mattress at 68” wide and 76” long.) A suite is supposed to include a sitting area. While this room did technically have a seating area, it was incredibly uncomfortable. Instead of the typical sofa, there is a wooden bench with a cushion. The combination is not very comfortable and the cushion only measures about 55” wide, so there is no lying down on the bench. Then there are four dining chairs arranged around a coffee table. It should go without saying that the coffee table is a mismatch for the dining chairs. You either need upholstered lounge chairs around a coffee table, or dining chairs around a dining-height table. You cannot, for instance, sit in the dining chair and eat a snack or write a postcard on the coffee table—the table is just too low for that to work. Nor can you really lounge and watch TV in the dining chair, it’s only intended for you to sit upright. After trying to make it work with the chairs and failing, I actually sat on the floor instead. I get where they’re going with the Van Gogh theme and I even appreciate the attention to detail, like putting a folded red bedspread on the bed to match the one in the paintings. However, a cute theme should not be at the expense of comfort. And while I can see a bed and breakfast doing this kind of themed room, it is out of place at a pricey chain hotel where you expect some degree of uniformity (I was SO JEALOUS of the "normal" suite I peeked into as it was being cleaned). We paid more for this room/hotel because we wanted a comfortable home base to return to after sightseeing and this was not it.

Came to Amsterdam for the Dutch F1 Grand Prix as well as a babymoon. Wanted to be near the main train station to easily get to and from Zandvoort, while not being too deep into the heart of downtown Amsterdam. Location provided a good mix of those criteria, but also was walking distance from lots of great bars and restaurants, as well as some of the major tourist attractions (Rijksmuseum, etc). Check-in process was seamless and we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite, which was amazing! Huge suite with two bathrooms, a large living room area, and a balcony with sweeping views of the city. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Daily breakfast was included, which had lots of great buffet options as well as an a la carte menu for some items (omelettes, etc). Fantastic experience overall and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was beyond excellent! It is close to the city, and easy to get around, without being in a very noisy area. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and it is walking distance to a lovely neighborhood with fantastic shopping and great restaurants. The hotel staff could not have been nicer, and I want to give a shout out to Pedro at the concierge desk for being especially helpful. also, Robert, and all the people in the restaurant at breakfast, went above and beyond to make everything great. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. We were there on a gate, one tour, and this hotel by far exceeded all of the others. On another note, we had left a Wallet in the hotel, with money which was found, and hopefully will be returned to us. If you are in Amsterdam, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
