We spent 3 nights here and it's a charming place to stay and Margot is a wonderful host. The room we were in overlooked the canal and it was so nice to open the windows. We did share a bathroom with other's but this was no problem. Margot keeps the place immaculate and there is even a cat that will... More

We stayed at Margot's B and B last weekend and found it to be such a charming place. Her home is very comfortable and we immediately felt right at home. Margot asks when you prefer breakfast and she has everything ready for the time you choose. She was a fantastic hostess. We were so comfortable in her home that we... More

Margot's bed and breakfast was a perfect place for us during our time in Amsterdam. Her home is clean, warm, in a fabulous location, and has great views of the canal! Margot was a terrific host - she had a delicious breakfast ready at the time we preferred, cooked eggs just the way we like, and was extremely trust-worthy of... More

We were 2 couples and stayed 2 nights. Great location, great breakfast, very clean. It was a pleasure to talk to Margot about her country and she was most accommodating. We would not hesitate to recommend the Bed and Breakfast to any of our Canadian family and friends! Margot made our stay in your home very pleasant.

.. so don't get me wrong (in giving a very good) but we stayed as a group of four which presents difficulties that may be do not present when you stay as a couple. The obvious one being the shared bathroom when we had breakfast together. It was also assumed that we only wanted one key per room and whilst... More

Our two days at the Margot B&B were fantastic. It is located within minutes by walk from everything you want to visit. We didn't know about the Gay Pride Parade, which was mainly a few canals from the B&B so that kept the location quiet. The rooms and bathroom were clean, the breakfast is excellent and the hospitality of Margot... More

We loved our three day stay at the Margot B&B. The rooms are lovely, light, and airy. They overlook the canal. We could see people biking and boating past and soak up the spirit of Amsterdam. The location is wonderful. We walked or took the tram everywhere we wanted to go with no problem, including the Rijksmuseum. (You can buy... More

I stayed at B&B Margot earlier this month with my partner and my father (we occupied both of the only 2 rooms!) - we had a fantastic stay. The rooms are bright & airy and the location was fantastic. We walked practically everywhere - Central Station (10 minutes) the Anne Frank Museum (10 minutes) and to the Museum District (30... More

We stayed 4 nights. The walk from the station is an easy 10mins. Margot was there to welcome us and show us our lovely, clean and comfortable room overlooking the canal Singel. The cases up the steep stairs was a bit of an effort, but only needs to be done once. Margots breakfasts are excellent and she is so helpful... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
