We occupied both rooms in the bnb. Short walk everywhere, tourist sites, terminal, mall, grocery, restaurants, etc.. Breakfast was hearty and service was excellent. Loved the clean smelling towels Margot provided. She also helped a physically challenged person like myself with our luggages. I had a refrigerator to store my medications in my room. Thank you for a memorable and...

We stayed here with friends of ours in October. The location is ideal to tour Amsterdam any way you like. The rooms are large enough and the beds are wonderful. Margot was very helpful pointing out restaurants and such. The only drawback is the steep stairs. We are 49-56 yrs of age and had no problem. Could be an issue...

We were delighted with Margot's home and our accommodation on the top floor with huge windows opening onto the canal. As a first-time visitor to the Netherlands, this was my dream location. The B&B is typical of homes in the area, very narrow with a unique spiral stair that requires some agility and light luggage; though the experience is worth...

Margots home is situated right by one of Amsterdams many canals and its really cosy and homey. The beds are very comfortable and she really takes good care of her home as well as her guests. The breakfast that she makes herself each morning is awesome, and its included in the price! This is the place you go to when...

Being picked up from the airport by a prearranged car and deposited was a welcome relief after a long day traveling. Margot was a fantastic hostess and all her recommendations were spot on! She baby sat our bags for our last morning so we could make the most of it, despite having more guests arriving. Breakfast was great, the stairs...

Margot B&B represents good value. Within walking distance of the railway station and central to most Amsterdam sights and amenities. The hostess is also very knowledgeable on what visitors ought to see whilst in town.

We arrived after our trans-Atlantic flight to put down our bags and go explore until jet lag caught up with us. We were able to walk from the train station but it was very quiet. Margot had the room ready before we finished our coffee down the street. She was very kind about accommodations for me in my second trimester...

My husband & I recently stayed at Margot B&B and had a very pleasant experience. The location is wonderful! The room overlooked the picturesque Singel canal & it was fun to leave the windows open and just people watch. It is a short walk to the train station, the Anne Frank House as well as Dam Square and the Red...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Margot B&B for two nights last September and could not have had a better stay! Margot was a wonderful host. Before arriving, I emailed Margot to see if we could leave our bags with her in the morning (even though check-in wasn't until midday) as our flight got in very early. She did not...

This B&B is in the perfect location for everything, close to all the action but still quiet and easy walking distance from Central Station. Choose Margot's home for a proper Dutch experience, her house has character! She will make you feel welcome and is very accommodating and helpful. Yes, the stairs are very steep but they are authentic.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
