good things: well located next to the Zuid station which has access to the train, metro, bus and tram. Breakfast very good and with a lot of variety. You can leave your luggage with the reception in case you arrive at the hotel too early for checkin or you need them to keep your bags after checkout, this is free of charge. There is a market nearby, some restaurants and a bike rental service. The Cielo restaurant has a BEAUTIFUL view of the city and is located on the 19th floor of the hotel. Hotel looks new and modern. Bad things: They say that the mino bar is free (water and juice), but when the housekeeper wasn't in our room, we went to the reception and asked for water to be replenished, they said it was replenished daily and that you can't get more However, that day the housekeeper was not in my room. I explained and even then, after much asking, the receptionist told me: “You can drink tap water. It's clean." That wasn't what I asked. I asked what was my right and what was promised by them. In the end, he only gave me a bottle of water. Another thing that happened was that we left a sign that we didn't want room service, even so when we arrived the bed was made, however, there was water in the sink with the drain plugged. They also didn't replace the towels and I had to call and ask for them all. By the way, their towels are terrible! I have never been to a hotel with towels this bad. For little things like these, they lose guests.…
Excellent cocktails and Spanish tapas enjoyed from the 19th floor providing awesome views of Amsterdam whole enjoying great DJ beats!! Cocktails that look and taste amazing … with an out of the ordinary twist. You know the chef is Spanish with the authentic taste of the Spanish tapas served in a contemporary way! Great way to share all the dishes. Try the octopus!!
Good place. Comfortable rooms and beds and very good service. The facilities are good and the location is very convenient for the train station. Overall it’s a good stay although speedy housekeeping would be an area of improvement. Ok value for a city as expensive as Amsterdam
Our suite was a disappointment. It started with check-in. We were asked to wait because our room was not ready (despite it being check-in time); we were told we would be notified when the room was ready. We waited an hour, then asked again about the room. The staff seemed surprised that we were there waiting, and rudely informed us that “of course” our room was ready. In our suite, the “Second Queen” was an uncomfortable sofa bed pulled out. Service was very disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. Hotel workers, especially front desk staff, were undertrained and not at all warm or welcoming. Only one staff member (he had worked for Melia in Spain) had any clue what he was doing. Many things were not well thought-out. For example, Shampoo holder blocked shampoo from being dispensed because it was poorly installed. The “towel holder” was a stick-on, which fell off with 1 towel on it. Towels were abrasive. Room was not well-cleaned. Price was definitely too high for what we got. The Marriott we stayed at for the other 1/2 of our trip to Amsterdam was significantly better. Also, a word to the wise — if you are booking on a site other than the hotel’s site (ie TripAdvisor, Hotels.com, etc) be prepared for a significant tax and tourism charge that is not included in the room rate.…
We stayed recently as part of a weekend break to Amsterdam. We knew the hotel’s location mean that we would need to catch the metro into the centre for the day and for meals and drinks in the evening as there was very little in the immediate vicinity. However Zuid station was only a couple of minutes walk away and then it was 10 minutes by train to the centre. Zuid is also very convenient for Schiphol as well. As a result of not being in the centre, the rates were also fairly reasonable. The hotel was very modern in feel and didn’t feel like a business hotel, which given the area I thought it would do. Overall the room plenty big enough and the bed was comfortable, and personally I did not mind the shower that opened up straight into room, albeit hidden by a room divider. I also liked the quirky touch of having an in-room yoga mat, although we did not use it. What let the stay down was the housekeeping inconsistencies, our room had no robes, although our friend’s did. We had a coffee machine in our room although our coffee pods and milk were never replenished all the while we there and we had to always visit reception to get stocked up. However we should consider ourselves lucky as our friends room did not have a coffee machine (but had plenty of pods) and one never materialised despite asking plenty of times over the 3 days. Also the towels seemed very small and thin and not at all fluffy. We did not have breakfast at the hotel – Breakfast Club about 5 minutes walk away is a good place to start the day – but we did visit the Sky Bar. The cocktails were really mixed but a little expensive but the same is true in any hotel bar. Being so far out of town mean the view was nothing much. Overall would recommend but there are things to improve upon…
We had been in Amsterdam for business reason. Clean room (intermediate), breakfast was medium level, nice staff, near to subway & Train. Reachable, nice view, friendly atmosphere, low quality of fasciitis like shower gel, electrical kettle &…
Our stay in Amsterdam was enhanced greatly by the staff at Innside!! Joan, Liliana, and Judit went out of their way to help me in getting situated after my flights were changed! They were more than helpful to my wife in getting here excellent maps and directions about town!! Would not hesitate to recommend and stay here again!! Lonnie and Ranae Wagner
The hotel location is just right to visit all the tourist sites by tram bus and metro. The front desk crew are out there to help you in whichever way they can. A big spread of breakfast and also catered for special needs and allergies. The rooms though basic are clean and sanitized with necessary accessories onboard.
So hotel was great. The tapas bar upstairs did great cocktails and a dj on the weekend. Staff were lovely and wanted to make you feel at home. Rooms clean and worked well. Location was good right next to the rail station south. Area being built up so some works around it but for a city break it was fine. Bikes can be hired at reception
I stayed for two nights here with some friends and it was an amazing experience! We were really happy, especially because Joan and Edgar from front desk were really kind and helpful, and made our stay better. They made sure our stay was pleasant, definitely coming back!
