BEAUTIFUL!!! The room is small but SO nice and very clean!!! and it does not matter that it is small because you have the most beautiful view of the canal:):) just amazing! Also, breakfast is fantastic! a huge spread and you eat it in front of the beautiful views. The walk to the center of the city is so lovely...

We were looking for a hotel room and finding many booked at the time of our visit we looked for alternatives. From the time we booked Little Amstel to the day we left we had great communication with the owner Mirjam who is a sweetheart. It was exactly as pictured on the inside - we stayed in the suite which...

We stayed here for one night and loved it. The deluxe room was comfortable and spacious - lovely eating area and views over the Amstel. Mirjam was very helpful and delivered a lovely breakfast to our door. Lovely walks into the centre from the boat. Very very comfortable bed!

Having been to Amsterdam previously, I searched for different places to stay and found this on the Internet, and what a find. Fabulous location on the Amstel Canal within easy walking distance of all attractions. We travelled with friends so we more or less had the pontoon to ourselves, breakfast was delivered each morning, which was enjoyed alfresco on the...

We chose to stay at the Little Amstel by a fluke of wanting to stay on a house boat. Let me say it was a wonderful place on the water and in a quieter place very close to the center but without all the tourist noise. Mirjam was so gracious in giving us all info we needed. We saw her...

I just returned from 4 nights in Amsterdam and stayed at the delightful Little Amstel Houseboat B&B. This offered an independent, charming, unique, option to more traditional lodgings. I found the place fairly easily and was really pleased when I got inside. I stayed in the smallest of 3 rooms and it was perfect for me. Clean, neat and new...

We chose to stay at Little Amstel based upon all the reviews from others who have stayed here and we were not the least bit disappointed. For six nights (last week of June 2013), We had the deluxe room and the basic room (for our daughters), which worked out quite well for the four of us. The location is quiet...

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mirjam's B&B Little Amstel houseboat, after a rather bad glitch the first night of what was expected to be a 3-night stay. We arrived late (around 9pm) after a long train trip, and discovered that the key to the room was not in the little lock box. We were invited in to the...

As charming as it gets, Imagine waking up in the morning to boats flowing past you with people waving out. Little Amstel is a charming charming boat-house in the centre of Amsterdam. Superbly done interiors, a good breakfast and a very polite nice lady who runs the boat-house. Internet is super-fast. Some of the minuses are the following: It could...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
