Lovely modern and spacious room. Despite the roadworks outside it was a in a great central location. Good location for shops and restaurants, also very close to Vondel park. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would visit again!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff were all very engaging and helpful. The location was ideal for us -- right by all the museums, close to a variety of restaurants (e.g. Sama Sebo for Indonesian rijstafel, Levant for Turkish, etc.,), as well as the Vondelpark. It is on a lovely, quiet street which meant we could really...

This is such a delightful place to stay. We enjoyed the warm, inviting atmosphere and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was very nice. The hotel is located on a residential street a short distance from the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, and Van Gogh Museum. The Concertgebouw is only several blocks away. Delightful Vondelpark is a couple of...

There was a hiccup with the booking so the room was double booked. Whilst it would have been better not to have happened, the hotel accepted full responsibility and did everything they could have possibly done to rectify the situation and couldn't have been more helpful. To me this the mark of quality management as to how the cope if...

Just back from a few days stay at the JL No. 76. Can only echo previous good comments and emphasise: superb location close to Van Gogh and other museums; very quiet residential area but in close walking proximity to bars and eateries on and adjacent to Museumplein (if you do not wish to eat at the hotel or in the...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel JL No76 for four nights in April 2017. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a small boutique hotel - only about 5 or 6 floors with maybe 10 rooms on each floor. We stayed in an executive room on the 3rd floor. The room size is typical for European hotels, but...

This was a lovely hotel. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The room was lovely and the cleanliness of the whole hotel was terrific. Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
