Almost couldn't be a better location for museums in Amsterdam....despite road construction outside! Great and helpful staff, very nice breakfast, good size rooms and easy access by trams and walking. Definitely worth a stay here - you won't be disappointed.

Loved this property! Tucked away, but just steps from EVERYTHING. Rooms gorgeous and modern. Staff incredible. Felt like visiting family. Very nice surprise. Absolutely no complaints with the hotel, service, staff, amenities, food, rooms. Outstanding. Beware there is construction on the street currently. But don't let that stop you from booking this property. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice hotel, very well positioned close to museums and the wonderful Vondelpark park (do rent a bike at the hotel and ride through the park!). Staff was extremely friendly. Highly recommended. Next time we go to Amsterdam we will go back there.

We stayed here in the fall of 2011 and had an amazing experience. Firstly, upon arrival at around 7pm, we were shown the free-flowing wine dispensary in the lobby. My husband promptly went down to take advantage and bring two glasses back to the room for us. This is a really unique feature, and the wine was fantastic. Our room...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
