Have stayed here several times and plan to return this coming Summer. Gay but straight friendly, the staff is overly accommodating, if possible. Friendly assistance is a code for them. Rooms are comfortable and while varying in size, all more than adequate. First floor is best - there is no elevator. Location is excellent and central - just off major...

The room was a little small but really cozy and comfortable. The location is unbeatable, so as the breakfast. And the staff was super friendly and attentive. But there is no lift, you will have to carry your suitcases upstairs. We would definitely book it again when we visit Amsterdam next time.

Had a lovely week here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mike and Klaas were great hosts and helped to make our stay even more fun than it was. The location is great and although the street outside can be noisy at night, you should expect that in a major city.

Such a lovely place! We stayed here one night and were delightfully surprised by the welcoming atmosphere. The room was clean and adequate with a mini fridge and comfy bedding. Breakfast was delicious and gezellig! The location was perfectly located for shopping, tourist attractions, and going out. I hope to stay again in the future and will certainly recommend to...

Staying at Amistad hotel feels like staying with friends. Especially in the kitchen, where everybody gathers around a big table for breakfast, you will feel it! Mike, Klaus and Maria are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located in the very touristy city center of Amsterdam, but thankfully in a street part that is away from the noise. Still,...

I loved staying here during my time in Amsterdam. Nice clean rooms. Really lovely shared breakfast (included in price) around a long table served from 8-1pm daily. 25min walk to Centraal station and 20 minute walk to the museum district. The manager and assistant are excellent hosts with a calm attention to detail. I recommend this hotel 100%.

Stayed for six nights and only one night of decent sleep. Covered in bites after first night - bed bugs most likely. Unreal noise in outside street throughout night - woken up one night five times. Frosty manager. Breakfast limited.

I arrived in the evening and was welcomed by a personal note on the door to call for check in. Within a minute I was greeted and I was settled in my clean room within 5 minutes. The sleeping area and bathroom were both clean and spacious. The view outside the back alley wasn't spectacular but I wasn't concerned as...

We booked an ensuite double room for 4 nights in May, the whole experience was really mixed. First, we arrived and really glad that the location of the hotel is great as it is super close to all the actions. But when we checked into our room on the top floor facing the street (after dragging our 30 kg luggage...

The staff at Amistad Hotel are super friendly, generous and helpful. From the first email I sent to Mike to the last day of our stay, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The new owner, Klaus, and Mike are great hosts and talented chefs! The daily breakfast was tasty, plentiful and provides lots of variety. Arriving at Central Station,...
