This place is very central. Walking distance to the Anne Frank house, Dam square, central station, and other museums. Also very close to metro. We didn't really use the metro that much since the places we wanted to visit were all walking distance. Also has lots of bars and restaurants around.. safe and very secure neighborhood, clean rooms. Must be...

My husband and I were there for our annual vacation . Good location, 5 minutes walk from the tram if you are lazy cuz it only takes you 1 stop to go to dam square. The room is big , the closet however is very small , but the best part of the room was the bad! Big and so...

The apartment is in a great location for exploring. There's a lovely restaurant on the corner opposite. The apartment was clean, very spacious, had everything we needed and was quiet. We arrived before check-in and were able to leave our bags there and head out to see Amsterdam straight away. We would definitely stay here again.

Booked it for one night only. It was well situated, clean and convenient and not too expensive. I agree with all previous reviews, bear in mind this is not a hotel, more like private suites that the owner rents out like an AirBnB. She is friendly and very responsive, she replies quickly to your emails. You basically receive the door...

We spent two nights here. The room was big and spacious and the hotel owner was very accommodating as we arrived early on our first day. You are a 10 minute walk from all the town centre attractions with several nice bars and restaurants on the way into town. You are also far enough out that you can escape all...

We were sent the door codes a few days in advance. We had room 2B which is a really large room with large west facing windows. Very modern ensuite bathroom with separate shower. Spotlessly clean and well stocked with towels, tea/coffee etc. Only slight downside is the stairs being very steep and narrrow with need to enter the door code...

Stayed here for one night, and the suite is very stylish! The host was very friendly and she was fast to reply on my questions. There was no problem to store the luggage before check in and after check out. The suite is located in trendy Jordaan. I can highly recommend this place.

We stayed in this wonderful accommodation in Amsterdam for four days. It's located in the elegant and quiet residential district "Jordaan", away from the hubbub. We also received a welcome upgrade, so, our accommodation, 3B, was bigger and better. Very comfortable and relaxing bath, with shower and tub with soft lighting. very big comfy bed. If I report something, the...

Located around the most picturesque of leafy canals on the edge of Amsterdam's Jordaan district the 'self service hotel' was a perfect place to stop for a couple of nights, we wished we could have stayed longer. The room 2B was very large with a shower, deep bath, huge bed and big windows letting plenty of light into the room....

The Ams Suites is located very close to the Anne Frank house and relatively close to everything else. Down the street from a supermarket and next to a canal. The only negative would be the amount of steps and how steep it is...but that's normal for Amsterdam.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
