Everything about our stay at Museum Suites was a delight from the stylishly appointed rooms (my two boys and I stayed in the Vermeer Suite which had a separate bedroom, living area, and small kitchen) to the generous breakfast served in the dining room to...More
Museum Suites is located in an elegant and quiet part of Amsterdam close to the major museums. We stayed in one of 4 suites, that was large and lovingly appointed. The owner, as well as her two assistants, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating....More
From the moment you walk in, you will fall in love with this charming small hotel. The location is incredible - walking distance to the major museums, the Concertgebouw, shopping, and restaurants, without being smack in the middle of the boisterous city center. Public transportation...More

Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

We got a 'Hotel Taxi' which went to all the hotels in Amsterdam - it's worth checking if you can get one of those because it wasn't expensive and it gets you there directly - worth checking with Museum Suites
