The Ac didn't work in the hotel. They had me checking out a day early and I had to prove to them that I had a 3 night stay not a 2 night stay. They couldn't pull up the original. Thank goodness I had a hard copy along with the app. Was on point then they charged me for the night.
Great hotel. Great location. Great view on the city from the room. Cool rooftop bar with amazing city views. Checkin was smooth and very friendly. Amazing breakfast with lots of choices. Loved every minute of our stay!
I stayed here in for five nights in June 2022 with my adult daughter. Thanks to our Gold Hilton status, we were upgraded to a larger city view room after the first two nights when availability allowed. There were city-facing rooms with two beds, but the staff was able to find something for us. The non-city view twin room that we had the first two nights overlooked the train tracks and the port which wasn't terrible, but the city view was preferred. The rooms are small by North American standards, but this is Europe and the size was adequate. The bathrooms are small, not much bigger than a cruise ship bathroom, but clean and very functional, with shelf space as well. The rooms are cleaned daily by default. The breakfast buffet which was included with our Gold Hilton status was beyond expectations. It had a large selection of breads, cereals, fruits, yogurts, vegetables and cheeses. Coffee and juices were also included. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries, and some local foods were also available. And if you prefer your eggs a different way, just ask and they will make them special for you. There was a large seating area, but it did fill up on some mornings. Even so, tables were bussed quickly and we never waited more than a couple of minutes for a table. Another great feature of this hotel is the rooftop bar/restaurant called SkyLounge. It is actually a destination in and of itself and I would recommend coming here for the views alone even if not staying at the hotel. That being said, the line to get in was over an hour in the evenings. Not sure why as there were open tables once we got inside. Again, our status with Hilton helped as Gold and Diamond members can bypass the line and take the next elevator to the SkyLounge. The location of this hotel is wonderful. 300 metres away from Amsterdam Central Station. We just took the train from the airport and walked with our bags to the hotel. Being so close to Central Station made it super easy to get anywhere by train, tram, subway, or ferry. Of course, the city is very walk-able and that is what we did most of the time. Above all was the service we received from every hotel employee that we interacted with. Every one of them was eager to please and made sure that our visit was exceptional. If we're ever back in Amsterdam, we will be staying at this hotel again.…
Nice DoubleTree that delivers on quality. Prime location, walkable from central station, not far from main touristic attractions, has starbucks in the same building. Breakfast was superb, with fresh pancakes upon request and cava 🥂 Had an issue at checking due to my partner arriving before me, but afterwards it was perfectly solved. Great Hilton Diamond recognition at the property.
Great hotel if you are after the views and closer to central station. We had 2 rooms 317 & 318 and views are die for especially around sunrise and sunset. The service can be better. 1) There are 7 reception desks, but at any given time there are only 2 operating. Even if there are 6 reception staff, only 2 check in/out. If you have a train to catch, make sure you checkout atleast an hour before because there can be long queues at checkout. 2) The breakfast tables are so tiny. Surely some bigger tables can help. I was always worried that I might knock something over. 3) The hotel is a business hotel and not catered for tourists. We travelled with a 18 month old and they had plastic plates, but they don't have suction. In other hotels we visited they had baby plates with suction, which fixed to the table. 4) Except for the view, i thought the service compared to the NH Hotel Krasnapolsky was poor. Not even "How was your stay?" at checkout at the Hilton.…
We had such an amazing warm welcome with a beautiful room. Dylan, the receptionist was the first face we saw and really set us up for an amazing stay! The skylounge was amazing and the staff were just perfect.
Had stayed here a couple of times before for a single night on business but this was the first time staying for a holiday and for a few days. The location near central station is fantastic as you can always easily get back to the hotel from wherever you are and easy to get to and from the airport. Arrived pretty late but checkin was nice and smooth and was able to get dinner at the hotel which was good. We got a balcony room on a high floor and the view was fantastic. The room was very quiet and the bed comfortable, had a great sleep each night. We were lucky enough to get a VIP card to the rooftop bar so we did not have to wait in line and went there a couple of times. Breakfast can be busy but there’s always some quiet tables available in the adjacent bar. Overall certainly happy with our stay and would stay again for business or leisure.…
I have to start by saying that our stay here was great. We were helped by the concierge desk with COVID testing results and booking a rice table (thanks Jerome and Timothy!). We also enjoyed visiting the Sky Lounge (go before 2pm if you don't want to wait in line). The room was great, breakfast was very good, and the hotel in general was very nice. The location next to Centraal Station seemed ideal. It really is not if you will be coming and going during the day. But if you are looking for a good business-type hotel (or have status with Hilton) you can't go wrong here.
My stay at this hotel was a very pleasant surprise! I was just in for one night and didn't expect much, but it all turned out so well. The staff was all excellent, helpful and welcoming including front desk, bellmen, executive lounge and restaurant. The room was comfortable and quiet with a nice view of the canal and the city. It was a little small but not too bad. I would recommend this hotel and will likely stay here myself in the future.
We had a standard room for 3 nights. Check in was efficient, and the welcome cookie a nice touch. The room was reasonable, although quite small, it was clean and well presented. We found the bed to be very hard and most uncomfortable. Breakfast is excellent and the location of the Hotel is excellent, within walking distance to most attractions.
