Great location, lovely owner, well designed little house! We stayed midweek and enjoyed the quirky little place, had everything you needed. Only negative was my bed was uncomfy but that's probably just personal preference Would stay again.

The Amsterdam canals and tourist attractions are within close vicinity, and only take a few minutes by bus or tram (21 and 10 from Central Station respectively). However, it is also worth exploring the immediate area and soaking in local culture and cuisine. Westerpark is a centre piece of this “Eco-Neighbourhood”, and the streets are lined with interesting café’s, crafts...

I found this hotel / apartment when I typed into google Unusual places to stay in Amsterdam. I would like to say the accommodation was fantastic and the area was very quite plus there are some great restaurants in walking distance with Café Amsterdam right on your door step. If you want a quite few days in Amsterdam I'd recommend...

We stayed here for 7 nights. As we had been travelling for approximately 4 weeks by the time we arrived here, it was just lovely to have a place where we could make our own breakfasts, dinner, and have complete privacy. With its fully equipped kitchen (gas stove top, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and Nespresso machine, dining plates, etc.) and...

Stayed for 6 nights. Had attended a conference held in the Westerpark just cross the street. The building is very special by itself. I especially like the sitting room at the second floor. The speaker has a line for my iPod so I could enjoy music there without using earphone, the acoustic effect was excellent. Sleep quality is superb, despite...

When I went looking for a different Amsterdam accommodation I had no idea I would end up in this odd little place. Completely unique, charming, and peaceful. Small enough to feel cozy yet big enough to make you feel at home. For my full review see here: http://www.thislifeintrips.com/reviews/unique-amsterdam-accommodation/

We booked this hotel based on the reviews on trip advisor. it really lived up to expectation. The house is lovely. when standing outside it, you feel like a goldfish in a bowl as it is in the middle of three blocks of apartments, but once inside, you are in your own little provate bubble and it is great. Underfloor...

I was in Amsterdam for a conference at the Westergasfabriek, and found this small, enticing hotel just 5 minutes away by foot (there are no other hotels in the immediate vicinity). Amazing! It has everything you need to live in its 3 compact stories: fully-equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, wi-fi, living area, comfortable bedroom/closet/bath. We arrived before check-in,...

De Windketel is a one bedroom apartment on three floors just a 15 min tram from the Central Station. Completely furnished with kitchen, with all you need to prepare a full meal; you can move right in! Outside, it is quite unusual: a little brick tower, a converted steam valve for the pumping station across the street, located in a...
