Eve's guesthouse was recommended to us by a friend who had stopped there and is a lovely place to stay. Me and my friend (both in our early twenties) stayed for four nights and both really liked the hostel. It was in a great location, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the room itself was spacious with lots...

My first time in Amsterdam and my wife's second. We loved the city and we loved Eve's. The room was large and looked over the street. The bathroom was a decent size too with a good strong jet from the shower (always a plus point in my book!) The bedroom was clean The staff were friendly and the office is...

Alright, so it's above a gay sex toy shop and across the street from red light windows, and right next to a coffee shop. Very Amsterdam in a way. This isn't why we are marking it down though, that is just Amsterdam. The day we arrived at 10:30, and we had told the manager we were arriving at 11am, so...

3 of us were looking for economical lodging and Eves was the perfect solution an easy walk from the train station. Enjoyed having a kitchen (though there was only a microwave available for cooking; no stovetop.) We occupied 2 of the 3 rooms (each of which has its own bath.) Our room on the street had poor bathroom ventilation or...

Eve's is THE place to stay for any traveller coming to Amsterdam. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the rooms there. My friend and I stayed in the same room as the previous reviewer and the only flaw I can think of is that there was no daily housekeeping. But I don't see how that would be a major...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is perfect and the room my husband and I stayed in was pretty good. Room had hallway which led to own toilet and bath/shower. Kitchen was communial but we never saw anyone in there the whole time we came and went. Stairs not the greatest but thats part of the Amsterdam houses. Staff member...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

“We liked room 1, because it was on the street, in the action, but is was noisy and may not be for everyone, so you may prefer a room at the back”
