The beds were very comfy. Although we opted for double bed, I found that they had put two beds together to make one big bed. That wasn't much of an issue for us though. The gym is extremely well equipped, with modern equipments. Has its own gender separated locker rooms, showers and toilets. The spa is fantastic ! and one of a kind. It is something that one has to experience in a lifetime. Has multiple sauna's, steam rooms, jacuzzi and a pool that extends from indoors to outdoors. The place is maintained really clean! Although, be informed that the place mandates nudity on most days. Some day's of the week they allow you to wear swimwear. However, the days with the mandatory nude are the best, and most clean.
Have been several times. The spa is fine but not as busy as it used to be even at weekends. The hotel is not good for the price. The beds are very uncomfortable and my air conditioning did not work. Outside of the spa area nowhere to get food or drink. The restaurant has no atmosphere and can only be accessed via the spa. The menu is very basic and very expensive. You pay using your spa bracelet. I paid my bill on leaving . The following day I git several emails from the hotel saying I had not paid my bill for a meal. I had payed the bill as presented. Poor customer service and very rude to say I owed money when I had paid my bill. Not what he used to be. The rooms look tired and the carpet had stains all over it. I doubt I will return. Spa is fine but hotel and customer service very poor.…
Just enjoyed a 3 day break at this spa hotel in Amsterdam. Great location as set in a area full of sporting venues and forest trails where I enjoyed taking part in the Park Run 5 minutes from the hotel and lovely runs in the morning. Great outdoor theatre nearby although did get rained on when I attended. The spa is brilliant and included in the price with great facilities. Never been to a spa before where swimwear is not permitted (on the days I was there) but absolutely loved it and felt very comfortable. The restaurant in the spa was really lovely. Room was very good with all the facilities you expect and I thought the breakfast was absolutely fine with lots of choice for a continental breakfast. Great to stay so close to a forest but to be able to get into the centre of Amsterdam very easily with the 24 tram or the metro which are both only a 10 minute walk away or you can hire bikes from the hotel. Hope to return, thank for a great stay.…
Stayed for 4 nights for business trip. was great that could use the spa in evenings and whenever free. The rooms are very nice- functional- clean comfortable. The hotel is slightly far from public transport- about 15 minutes walk- i didnt mind but bear that in mind. Great parking if you have car, service was fine- nice country walks in area-- i walked round a lake every morning for an hour
Just came back from a 2 night stay here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, make sure to double check your bill before you leave, they added tourist tax even though I live in Amsterdam, they corrected this but if I wouldn’t of said anything then I would of been charged. So always double check. Other than that it was a great stay and i would highly recommend.
This hotel is definitely not one to stay at if you want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam - definitely better to tag on to the end of your trip as it is quite far out. Our room was very modern and clean - brilliant waterfall shower. Nice set breakfast (breads, meats, cheese, yoghurt) and the gym facilities were excellent although no water fountain so we had to buy bottles which was surprising. The main attraction is the spa - we attended on a swimwear day and were surprised to read some of the reviews as we didn’t find it too noisy - just what you would expect from a very large spa. There were lots of saunas so it was easy to find a quiet area. We would have liked more pools and jacuzzis though. I did feel let down by the fact my robe was taken almost instantly after hanging it up and going in the pool - I had some items in the pocket which I never got back so watch your stuff when you’re in there!! We ate at the spa restaurant which was very nice although we had the chef special included in the spa day price - this was stew which I was really disappointed with. It was tastier than expected but I wouldn’t rush back for it. As we were staying at the hotel we were provided with robes and towels but were made to buy sliders - take your own to avoid this!!…
We visited the spa a day after it re-opened following the lockdown. The food is usually excellent but this time it was woeful. We had to wait over an hour to be served, and much of the menu was unavailable. This is forgivable after such a long closure but the food we were served was inedible, which is not. Many other customers complained atvthe time but to little avail. My written complaint to spa zuiver has not been responded to which confirms my suspicion that they are more Interested now in recouping their losses during the closure rather than providing a good service. Very disappointing. We will visit other spas instead
If you really like the sauna experience avoid coming Tuesday, Wedmesday and Thursday. The kind of people coming those days (bathing suit mandatory days) are not really into the sauna experience. Non stop chatting, entering and leaving within 2 minutes, leaving doors open after leaving, not using towel properly, among other stuff. Having said that, it is a fantastic location with plenty of sauna rooms. Been there many times, but will never come back on the mentioned days.
Hey gang. Kenny wood here with another trip advisor review. Let's do this... 1. This hotel doesn't have much going on anywhere other than in the spa. 2. Don't plan about doing anything outside the hotel. Ya'll stranded out here 3. This hotel loves a little charge here and there. They'll get you paying for breathing if they could 4. The room is so basic and boring. It's seriously not a vibe 5. Where's all the bars at man? Y'all hiding your alcohol in this place 6. Spa water was a bit tepid, warm it up a bit and you'll be sweet Take care out there folks
The hotel is clean and functional with comfortable beds and a quiet surrounding. It is linked to the Spa which is magnificent. Downsides The parking charges are €20 per night!! Ridiculous, you will almost certainly arrive at the hotel by car, they then tell you that this is what they charge, as they are in Amsterdam. No it isn't. It's in the outskirts of Amsterdam, 30 minutes by tram, after a 1km walk! If you want to encourage guests to come and stay, stop ripping them off with exhorbitant parking charges!! Deeply disappointing. You will also go thirsty in the rooms, no tea or coffee facilities and no water bottles provided in the rooms, i had to drink from the sink, hoping that this was drinking water. You are a health resort, this is not a healthy way to treat your guests. I have been to budget hotels that provide this facility. Upside it is linked to the spa, don't visit though on a Tuesday, it is swimwear day and it attracts a noisy and boisterous community, not relaxing at all.…
