Place was clean, staff helpful and friendly, free tea and coffees from the reception desk, however there was no lift in the building and getting to the 5th floor was quite an effort! We rented bikes at a good price and they were in good conditions. Unfortunately the place can be noisy at times (when people pass by the room...

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was tiny but all we needed as we spent the day our biking around. Very close walking distance to everything we needed to see! Very easy to access by train and tram. Highly recommend

Great location and a 10 second walk to the nearest tram stop. The hotel room is in good condition and looks nice. Only problem I found was that there was no lift and we stayed on the 4th floor but it's a very minimal problem.

Positives: Its cheap, central, clean, good staff, and a place to sleep! Negatives: Walls are like paper, gap under door so lots of noise from the hall when people passing, awake early due to this reason! Good spot to use as a base to explore the city, in a great area too. Good for a group of friends maybe but...

Great place to stay, easy walk to central Amsterdam and Museumplein. There is a pizza place next door, on the other side is a coffeeshop and up the street is a McDonalds open till 2:45am, bonus! Easy to get the tram from the hotel, Prinsengracht tram stop is very close to the hotel.

This is the second time we have been to this hotel. Very good for the price you pay! A big thing for me is location - especially in Amsterdam as I like to explore everywhere on foot. This hotel is not to far from central station and very easy to navigate - close to tram stops also. Plenty of good...

The GOOD Great wifi connection - one of the best free wifi services I've come across really. The location is great a bit far from Dam / the Centraal train station but can hop on to a tram which takes you only 10 mins. Superb service from the staff - really goes 200% on your request. The room is simple...

Me and my fiance stayed here for 3 nights and loved the location of the hotel, very convenient for everything touristy! The room itself was very clean but small, although that was expected. The bathroom was super nice and very clean, the shower is always warm and the room itself was also very warm. We were on the fifth floor...

The Acostar Hotel is in a fantastic location, you are within walking distance of everything! Reading past reviews I was very sceptical about staying here after I had booked but I really was pleasantly surprised!! The room was spot on, yes small but plenty big for 2 people, very comfy bed and nice bathroom.. Massive bath.. Room was squeaky clean...

We stayed here for 2 nights and found the staff very helpful and the rooms clean and decent. I had been concerned after reading some reviews however, our experience was not a bad one! Our room was 401 so there was quite a few flights of stairs to reach it but we just made it into a challenge (races anyone?!)...
