Stayed here with a friend we were part of a group of 6, the other 4 stayed elsewhere as we had booked last minute. The room was lovely, shower amazing, good size albeit a little chilly even with the heat on? The best part was the location, 15 mins to the red light district and dam square. We ate at moak pancakes a 5 min walk away worth a visit and also the Turkish over the road. Also worth a visit. The only negatives is no water or coffee facilities are supplied and we arrived late. 3 euro for a bottle of water is excessive if you ask me. All in all would recommend and would stay again. Didnt have breakfast here so couldn't comment on this.

I booked this hotel in May for August. I called 3 days before arrival. I told them I was arrivibg late When I arrived they told me they had overbooked but I could pay there and they would send me to their other hotel. Whoa hold the horses I wasn't born yesterday. Here are the issues with this bait and switch scam. 1. The other hotel Location is miles away and out of the city center. 2. The Location they were trying to switch me to is not walkable so I would have to spend more time and money to get places. 3. Here's the really appalling scam part they wanted me to pay their rate when months earlier I had seen the other hotel and the rate was significantly less because ... of its Location. 4. They were Extremely rude especially the management who told me I had awoken her out of bed and needed to be quiet so she could tell me I would be overcharged for the horribly located sister hotel. 5. They then lied to Expedia and told them the rates are the same and it was only 6 minutes away. 6. The night staff also complained and admitted this happened a lot which was stressful. 7. They had my email and could not be bothered to let me know ahead of time so I could get Expedia to help me with a hotel instead it took 2 1/2 hours to get a room elsewhere. Luckily Expedia looked up rates for when I booked and also the true distance and agreed with me that Motel One was being dishonest. They found me a hotel at 1:30 am but it was a great location and the same rate. Beware they are scammers and rude. I really wish I could give them 0 stars.
