We stayed here in June at a rate of €70 per night (excluding breakfast) which we thought was good value. The location is close to Tram and Metrolines and the rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are brilliant and were very helpful. Recommend.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with standard amenities. Local restaurants were good and it was conveniently located on the #10 tram line. You won't be disappointed in the property - but what really stood out was the helpful staff, particularly Mr. Zi-Jian Wang. He was friendly and patient with my many questions, and offered plenty of helpful tips...

I stayed in this hotel in March with 2 friends, the room was tiny and we were there for 3 nights but it was in a great location, just beside Metro (which we got from Main train station from airport and back, very handy) and tram 10 & 7 just outside the door. The hotel was basic but clean and...

We stayed from the 12th to the 14th of April and had a wonderful time! The staff on reception were very friendly, we arrived early and our room wasn't ready but they happily kept our bags, when we checked in we discovered our hair dryer didn't work but they gave us another and were happy for us to keep it...

I spent 3 days here with Mrs Finnegan. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city centre or 5 minutes by tram. The rooms were very clean and the area was quiet which allowed for a good nights sleep. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Only slight quibble is that the duvets were a little on the light side. I'd...

We stayed in Hotel Allure for 3 nights and I could not fault it in any way. The staff were really helpful, the room was very clean and had a great bathroom. The hotel is located right near the metro station and across the road from trams. You can also easily walk into central Amsterdam in 15 minutes. Over all...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
