We stayed at the Novotel Amsterdam as part of a tour group. Our tour director had a lot of trouble checking in, and exchanged very heated words with the staff member - no one in our group could understand the language, but it was very amusing. After nearly 30 minutes, we finally got our rooms, which were clean and nicely...

This was my second trip to the Novotel Amsterdam City. The hotel has a lovely contemporary designed foyer and restaurant area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and functional. Iron and ironing board on request which is not ideal but not too big a deal. While the restaurant serves excellent food the service is extremely slow for...

Went on a family weekend trip. Location: 10 min train to Schipol, and 15 min tram ride to central Amsterdam. The trains for both are very frequent and dat help make this hotel in such a convenient location. Staff very friendly, helpful and will answer all your questions regarding Amsterdam. Rooms could be improved but we're not bothered cuz our...

The hotel was further from the centre than we thought/hoped. However the tram and metro were just a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. The tram took about 25 mins to central station, but it was quite an enjoyable ride to see more of the city. There was always a taxi rank outside the hotel. The rooms were a...

Visited Amsterdam via a P & O mini cruise from Hull to Rotterdam in December. The ferry crossing was good, with a meal, bed and entertainment on board, and after a good night's sleep, we were taken by coach to the centre of Amsterdam. Although the transfer was smooth and well-organised, and the coach very comfortable, it did take 1...

Good location, near major highway access. Beds are hard, but typically european. Love the fact that there's a window in the room that can be opened. HVAC actually worked very well and room was not stuffy. The only snag was the that we tried the auto exit in the lobby and found all kinds of extra charges on our bill....

Very comfortable stay. It is within a 5 minute walk to the RAI train station, and although away from the downtown area Novotel is a great hotel. The included breakfast was great. The only down side is there are only rooms with one bed, queen or king size and a sofa bed so for three people it's a little cramped....

What a great hotel. Service outstanding, staff first rate. Tram stop just 200m away that takes one as far as the railway station. Sadly apple computers. Overpriced fashion accessories. Glad we had a pc laptop for the free wi fi!

You have to walk for 3 minutes to the train from the hotel and you should make a 15 minutes trip to the centre. This is maybe the weakest part of the hotel. On the other hand, price is perfect comparing to the other same level hotels. Rooms are wide and comfortable. Cleaning is done everyday. Best part is the...
