Had a lovely welcome from Josh the owner. He was very informative of the local area. He helped us carry the luggage to our fabulous room. It was very bohemian. Silks and cushions. A great balcony. A wonderful bathroom. We absolutely loved it. Also a small fridge. Very clean. Was so nice sitting on the balcony among the flowers having a glass of wine on the evenings. We would recommend and would stay again if we're in the area
We Stayed in two different rooms. The library room with bubble bath and the suite. The bubble bath was very nice, the beds were excellent and the suite was above expectations. The people were also sweet.
Normally I stay at hotels, but this B&B is really great. I´ve been here dozens of times across the year. The owner, Josh, is a welcoming host. He is authentic, kind and honest. The location is excellent, the rooms are unique, the beds are good and breakfast is fine. If you like to chat or not, all is possible. So, for a business traveler like me this suits just fine.
I always try to look for unusual hotels, and Cuba Casa is the one of the most special places I have seen. It's cosy and welcoming. Location is just perfect. It has definitely added additional positive memories from our trip to Den Bosch.
We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The Cuban themed rooms and the friendly and caring host really make this place something special and an experience we won't forget! If you're looking for a great place to stay in the city centre of Den Bosch we can definitely recommend the Cuba Casa.
We stayed here with e group of friends, and had a fab time. The location is excellent, walking distance from the train station. The atmosphere is unique, I have never stayed in a place like this before. Warm en cosy feel. We had a great laugh about the 4p waterbed..although my friends who slept in it didn't really feel well rested the next morning. Some of the furniture is a bit worn. Something went wrong with the booking but they did their best to find a solution for us. The beds in the souterrain were good quality. Breakfast was absolutely great, croissants, eggs and coffee with hot foamed milk. Hosts were flexible and accommodating.
We stayed here during the Bosch exhibition. Prices were high and rooms hardly available so we booked this place. Location is excellent. And that's about it. While booking the place we learned nowhere that we'd stay in the souterrain. This does not have to be a point of concern but when paying €180/night I expect more than a former dance school hastily transformed into a bedroom. Breakfast was not included. The annex kitchen was equipped with tea making facilities and a microwave. There were some nails stinging out where planks have broken away. Bathroom was ok and clean, very slippery shower though and my aunt fell Badly. Very worn darkblue towels.
I discovered this amazing place when I was trying to see the Bosch exhibition. By the time I got to Den Bosch it had been and gone, the exhibition that is. I decided to discover De Bosch anyway and what a beautiful and charming place it is. The CubaCasa is situated in a canalside residence and appears relatively small on the outside, it is in effect very spacious. I had booked a room with a balcony and it managed to leave me totally speechless.(No mean feat that). The room itself was crammed with an extraordinary amount of antique porcelain, paintings, photographs and so on. It was exceptionally cosy with wood panelling, plants and a mini bar full of ice-cold beer. However, the balcony was in fact huge, totally covered with flowering plants, outside seating with a huge table and benches and chairs. There were even gas heaters for when the evenings are chilly. Breakfast was plentiful and is served in a large room downstairs and is a great way of meeting fellow guests. One of the best things for me were the endless coffees, a Chopin piano concerto in the background and a frank exchange about the way of the world with the owner. The owners are a delightful couple who make you feel very welcome, with a little help of their two small dogs. The only little cloud for me were the steep stairs, which put the fear of God in me. Going up was fine, but going down I would be put to shame by a 100 year old lady, had there been one. I hope that at some time later this year I have another opportunity to visit Den Bosch and stay at the CubaCasa. I look forward to it and recommend CubaCasa unreservedly.…
What a find! A great place to stay - lovely quirky rooms filled with treasures, so much to look at. Our room had its own balcony with heaters so just about okay to sit out there in chilly April. Comfy bed with memory foam topper. Private bathroom just outside but towelling robes available. Steep stairs as in all buildings of this age. Breakfast around one big table so you could chat to other guests and to the owner (and his dogs) who is a mine of info about the local area. Den Bosch is a pretty, walkable city. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops with a market on Saturday. Also lovely walking along the canals. B&B situated 5 mins walk from the main square and 2 mins from train station. Parking outside on street is expensive but there is secure, underground parking at the station. Owner has problems accepting some cards for payment but there is a cash point just round the corner.…
