In a nut shell: a very disappointing stay that I wouldn’t repeat. I had high expectations given the good reviews. I stayed solo in room 6 (suite, top floor, two flights of stairs) by myself for two nights as a birthday treat. Plus points Location excellent. Great terrace l. Bed and shower were great. TV size good. Toiletries fine. Minibar is free. tea and coffee making facilities in room. Staff approachable, friendly and but not very good at responding to a bit of negativity. For example, I was asked how I I slept and I was honest and said that I didn’t sleep well because of the heat. And was promptly asked If I had put the airco on. Well, of course I had but having that whirr on the whole night and breathing in airco air is not quite my idea of pleasant. My breakfast order of scrambled eggs without bacon (I am a vegetarian) came with bacon and when unmentioned it, the waitress said that she thought I wanted it and left, returning minutes later with the same plate minus the bacon but lots of grease instead. Terrible presentation of food! And a disappointing breakfast on my last day While I couldn’t hear the terraces and bars in my room for the most part, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for those who are looking for peace and quiet in the hotel room in the evening. After 10pm, everything was closed due to the current COVID rules but I have no idea how that would work out once the rules change. Minus points Room size misleading. I booked a suite thinking I could maybe work a little in the room, but the seating area is a small table and two chairs. Just enough space to fit a laptop and a cup of coffee. There were two very small windows in the living area so no view. It all felt a bit claustrophobic. I did ask them to check I was actually in a suite and was told that I was indeed in a suite; larger royal suites are across the road. I can only imagine how boxy the deluxe rooms are. Low beams mean that taller guests may have to stoop in the room. And the bathroom and toilet are open plan i.e. no door so no privacy. This might be an issue for some guests. Shame these points are not mentioned in the site. Also housekeeping store towels etc. in a sort of room right next to the suite, so you can hear everything they say to one another and any times the doors are unlocked and locked or someone comes up the stairs. Above room 6 there is also a room. I could hear people walking around around above me. Room was also warm which I expected given the weather. Although the air conditioning worked well, I don’t think it would be very healthy to keep it on all night. So, I didn’t but I woke up a few times in a sweat. Tip: call beforehand and ask questions on room location and room size before booking. I wish I had.

Nice place, but it is very noisy. If you come to enjoy the hustle and bustle this is definitely a good choice. But do keep in mind that cleaning trucks and cleaning crews will start at 06:00 below your window. Staff is very friendly and rooms are spacious and well equipped.

The hotel is located in the heart of town and everything is in walking distance. The room was very nicely decorated and spacious. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK and service was fast. The light on the staircase switches on when movement is detected at night, however the second light going up the stairs switched on much too late causing a dangerous situation. The rooms is quite noisy, noise from the street and walking on the floor above you is very well heard. To our surprise there were no tissues in the room and the towels were very worn.

Arrived on a very warm day and was given room right at the top (Attic) Room 5, very nice room but also very warm, air conditioning in the room helped to cool this down a bit. My complaint was the Bathroom/Shower Room. No privacy at all, its a glass swing door that gives you no privacy whatsoever, if your travel companion is seated on the toilet, whats visible from the bedroom is their legs and shoes,,, Who wants to see their travel companion sitting on a toilet seat doing their business. When my partner was in the shower and I'm in the bedroom after showering, while i'm dressing one can either see straight into the shower area through a mirror directly outside the glass door and vice versa. Or when you're making coffee, you can see directly into the shower whilst your partner is showering. Old fashioned I may be, but I do like my privacy when I'm in the bathroom.

Our visit to Den Bosch was to see the city where my father and his family came from, so we wanted to be in a central location to make the most of our short stay. Hotel ‘t Keershuys exceeded our expectations in every way. The Royal Suites are set in a separate building just across the lane from the main hotel/ bistro entrance. Our Royal suite # 8 was on the middle floor of the building, so up 2 flights of stairs of which the second set are a typical steep spiral. The rooms are very modern, and are decorated with calming colours and high quality furnishings, but still retain their historic charm with original exposed beams and brick wall. Something to note ~ although the Royal Suite has 2 king beds in their own area, they are only separated by an open wall partition. So they are fine for families, but not really 2 x 2 couples if you want your privacy. Or if you are travelling with bad snorers! The rooms have black out blinds with remote control and although the hotel location was in a very busy location for our Friday night stay, the windows seemed to cut out most of the noise when closed. Just be aware if you are a light sleeper though. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff are very responsive with emails and speak fantastic English. They were warm and welcoming, and were very happy to hold our bags before and after check in. We loved our short stay in Den Bosch and it was made all the more enjoyable by staying at Hotel ‘t Keershuys. Highly recommended to stay here.

Stayed for two nights the room (No.6) was at the top of the building, yes the stairs are steep, lovely huge comfortable bed and as mentioned free mini bar. Breakfast was excellent as was the meal we had there on the first night. Staff very friendly and helpful, they carried the bags up to the room. Would definitely recommend and hopefully stay here again.

I travel to den Bosch quite often for business. Every now and then I decide to stay in a different hotel then the usual one. This one is really nice! You feel welcome when you arrive, the rooms are spacious and they have superior beds. I definitely stay here again!

Booked a double room for 1 night incl breakfast. Its an easy bag drag from the rail station to the hotel. Hotel t'Keershuys is an old building which has a bar and restaurant attached, with seating inside and out. Too early for check in but they minded our bags. Access to the hotel is through the bar restaurant. The bags were taken to our room for us, which was much appreciated. We were allocated Room 3 on the 1st floor. As all reviews have mentioned the stairs are steep and winding, so it is a matter of taking your time. We were taken to our room and everything well explained. The windows open to the side street, but we were using the air con and therefore the windows were closed. There was no noise, either from outside or the a/c itself. There is a free minibar, nespresso machine and tea/coffee making as well. It is all very generous. Our room was modern. The bed is very comfortable Its a nicely furnished room with seating and a table. Wifi is free and fast. The ensuite is smallish but the walk in rain shower is a bonus. At check in you indicate the time for breakfast. The breakfast area is held downstairs behind the bar area. A limited range of buffet foods in a fully enclosed refrigerated cabinet but more importantly, your main food, like eggs or pancakes are cooked for you and also coffee is made for you too as are refills. We ate dinner here. We were offered a free welcome drink and as it turned out, it was your choice. We sat under the awning facing the vehicle free street. The menu, there was also an English menu card, was varied with big serves, but you can choose smaller portions. Good value. This hotel is in a perfect location. Close to the rail station, with plenty of eateries around and the city is easily walkable to all tourist points. We recommend staying here if you are mobile.

Loved our stay at this hotel situated in the heart of town in a old typical Dutch house. Super modern on the inside, great amenities, extreamly friendly staff!!! Breakfast is made to order and is very good quality. Does not have many rooms so fills up fast.

Stayed three nights and can't wait to visit again. Friendly and very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room with all the necessities one needs. The breakfast was excellent. A hotel that serves up a perfect Eggs Benedict always deserves five dots. All this sums up to that I would like to revisit Den Bosch just to stay here. On a sidenote to the staff: One man doesn't need more than one hand soap for a three nights stay. No need for me to open a new one every day. With the enormous plastic dumps around the world, a more enviromental apporach to the amenities would be welcome.
