I have stayed two times two nights in this hotel and I found it very good. The rooms differ in size and comfort. I've slept in three rooms and two of them were really good. The bed is fine and the bathroom with rain shower, hair dryer and make up mirror is excellent.
What I enjoyed a lot, is the kitchen down stairs. Guests may take coffee and tea for free, and other drinks are available at a reasonable price. Guests are also allowed to prepare food and use the kitchen facilities.
Breakfast is good too. The owner squeezes fresh oranges the moment you enter the breakfast room and they can make all kinds of eggs on demand.
I really enjoyed the personal approach in this hotel, it made me feel at home. I can truly recommend this hotel.
Plaats note: most rooms are on the first and second floor and there is no elevator.

Stayed here for two nights in November 2019. Wasn't sure when I initially booked the hotel if I had made the right choice to visit the city of 's-Hertogenbosch but I am so glad that I did visit!

The hotel is around a 10 minute walk from the centre of 's-Hertogenbosch. I found the city very charming to walk around and explore.

The room was a little less modern than my hotel I had just left but it was adequate for my needs. My only complaint was that the head of the bed was not against a wall so it made watching the TV quite uncomfortable. The staff members at reception and one of the housekeeping staff that I met were very friendly and helpful.

Would I recommend for you to stay in this hotel? The answer is yes!!

Within easy walking distance from railway station, no reserved
parking space near hotel.
16 rooms on three floors - No elevator and steep stairs
unless you book the rooms on the ground floor.
Spacey rooms with good beds and modern and large bathroom.
Coffeemachine (pads) and waterbottles provided in room. Oddly
placed TV-screen though ...
Large & tasty breakfast (cold & warm) buffet - freshly squeezed juice !
Hotel bar with self serve beer & wine (honour) .
Next door neighbour with lively Verkadefabriek - music, movies & food.

Hotel Jo van den Bosch provides a fair deal for its price. For people looking for just a place to stay and don't intend to hang around the hotel much, this property is worth considering.

Pros:

Fair price
Convenient location
Very friendly staff
WiFi works as promised

Cons:

Small rooms with thin walls
Decor needs modernization

Just spent a night there. I do not recommend the place. Outside were 13 degrees C and the heating didn 't work even if the staff assured us that it will work.We didn't apreciate the attitude of the staff because they knew that the heating didn't work but they just wanted to keep us in their hotel. To expensive (86 euros without breakfast).

Unfortunately we risked the negative reviews already written for this hotel as the hotel is admittedly within walking distance to the Brabanthallen, where we were attending a music event. Sometimes, we find people can be over critical in reviews but not in this instance. The hotel charges 102 Euro per night for a double including taxes and you would expect a reasonable level of comfort for that amount. The rooms are very dated - they would have been bright yellow and orange in 1983 when I suspect they were last painted but the walls are really grubby and the bare floors are not too appealling either. However, of particular concern were the filthy bed bases, the bed linen was badly worn and the towels were threadbare. A plastic light fitting directly above the bed was broken and electrics exposed. This highlighted the penny pinching as I suspect it would have been a couple of Euro to replace it! To cut a long story short, you felt uncomfortable touching anything. Dated we could accept, filth however can never be acceptable and the 'quality' of the accommodation spoiled our holiday in Holland somewhat and we would have checked out immediately had we not been attending the concert nearby.
Breakfast was ok but still quite poor by the usual Dutch standards.
Tip- It might be close to the Brabanthallen but it is definitely worth paying for a taxi and staying in the town centre instead!

Nice small hotel. The people who I assume are the owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and functional and the location is good. However, there is a complete lack of information. Simple information about how to access the internet, what time breakfast is, how the odd coffee machine works, how to switch on the TV etc would be very much appreciated. Sat in the restaurant area this morning for twenty minutes before we discovered for our self that it was a self service buffet breakfast. Would have been nice if the waitress had said so.... Did not know how to work that toaster and the eggs were cold. Otherwise no complaints.....

As prev review 10 min walk to centre of town. Not worth prices on rooms, very dated
decor/facilities, poor breakfast..

On plus side Den Bosch lovely town with many pleasant cafes & restuarants.
