Experience the grandeur of the 1900s in today’s comfort in De Blauwe Pauw (Blue Peacock) Boutique Hotel in ’s‑Hertogenbosch. This warm and hospitable bed & breakfast is housed in a colonial town house dating back to 1899 with an Art Nouveau conservatory and highly decorated ceilings. This fits in perfectly with a stay at the most hospitable city in the Netherlands and its rich history, listed buildings, museums, shops and many cafes and restaurants. Or to quote a previous guest: “A warm welcome, good beds, a wonderful shower, great breakfast, and all this in a beautiful building. You will be really pampered here and we’ll definitely be back. The hospitality was outstanding, wonderful luxurious accommodation and a delicious breakfast.”

A gorgeous home with lovely, bright, airy updated rooms and a stunning garden. Ton was a most gracious host, and prepared a delicious breakfast for us. Great location, just a short walk to the center of town. We loved our stay.

Staying here was quite an experience. A warm welcome by the landlord who enthusiastically explained the art nouveau features of this late 19th C building. The room was spacious, with a huge bathroom and excellent beds. All superlatives apply to the breakfast dominated by local produce and including fresh fruits and very good fresh coffee. Decorations in the breakfast room amount to a journey into peacockania. Street parking, but no public charging station in the vicinity (Jan 2020).

Lovely overnight stay (3 nights) in this charming boutique hotel, very friendly and warm welcome. Our room was called “De Pauwentron” and we would definitely recommend it! The room was spacious, as was the modern and pretty bathroom. And everything was crowned with a balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast was a pleasure to the eye - and really tasty too, including fruits, delicious breads, cheese, etc.

This was our second stay in this beautiful B&B in the city center of Den Bosch. Walking to town is approx. 10 minutes and if you are lucky you can even park your car in front of the hotel (not free of charge). This B&B is based in a very nice building. Very friendly and warm welcome, nicely decorated rooms (very spacious) and modern bathroom. Perfect breakfast in the morning. Overall, a very good place to stay when you want to explore Den Bosch. P.S. Thanks, Ton, once again for the hospitality. We come back soon.

This was the last night of our cycle tour around southern Holland before cycling to the Rotterdam Europoort. Lovely B&B in a very nice renovated house. Just a short walk to the centre of town. Ton was a perfect Host, offering tea and cake on our arrival and giving us plenty of information with regards to Den Bosch and where to eat. We visited in July 2018 and it was very hot. A fan unit was in the bedroom which was a very large family room having one double and one single bed, although there were only two of us. Bathroom was also very good. Excellent stay, but a little too expensive.

The B&B is situated a little way out of the town centre so a short walk is needed to the centre. The B&B is very attractive with pretty fittings. Everything looks newly decorated and spotlessly clean. Our host was very attentive and friendly. We were very happy to be able to have our dog stay with us. And the breakfast was very extensive and high quality. Nothing to complain about and highly recommended. I think for the price one should expect this standard and it lives up to expectations. As stated by another reviewer we managed to park outside the B&B and had to pay from 09.00 the following morning.

first surprise it that you can park directly in the from of the hotel (with a litte luck), second one is the friedly greeting. the room was very spacious, special design (only the door of the wardrobe has fallen down when i was opening to put my things in. the water tap was also broken - but it was looking so nice. i'm sure they will repare it immediatelly. the host was giving hint to visit the town - great. and the breakfast was perfect

We stayed in this B&B for one night. The building is a very nice renovated 19th century house, still with lots of original items. The rooms are very large and we had a beautiful bathroom, also large. In the morning they serve a delicious breakfast with fresh products. The hotel is in walking distance to the center of Den Bosch so very convenient when you stay a night in that town. There is no parking belonging to the hotel, but you can park your car in the street (you might need to walk a couple of meters). For sure a recommendation.

+ Fantastic B&B, located in a 19th-century townhouse beautifully renovated in modern style. Very high attention to detail, high quality of interior and furniture. Great reception and explanation, the staff treats you really as a guest. Breakfast is fresh with quality products and large variety. Walking distance to the center of Den Bosch. Highly recommended for a great stay! - Parking on the street - spot might be difficult to find and is paid at the meter (but you get tips from the B&B where to park).

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Tom, who greeted me, was one of the most attentive hosts I have ever come across at a hotel, and really made the experience something special. I had only booked a hotel to get some sleep on the middle night of a music festival, but choosing the Blauwe Pauw helped me actually see something of Den Bosch too. Additionally the property is beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic, and the room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. I would book here again and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Den Bosch.
