I was sleeping last week in De Hofnar. The location is very central, only 40 m from the Vrijthof square. The B&B is very clean and the staff very friendly. I will for sure come back very soon.

You can hardly get closer to the city centre of Maastricht than in this hotel, just 50m from the Vrijthof. Rooms are very practical, so not sure whether this is the best place for a romantic weekend, but if you just need a place to sleep, this B&B is perfect. Even though it is close to a very busy street...

Excellent location near the main square (Vrijthof). We stayed in Room 6, private Bath overlooking interior courtyard. Free wireless internet. Near local shops. Need to wire money and pay in advance. Owners were helpful. Rooms were quiet during our stay.

I booked this hotel via hotels.com. It was confirmed but one day before the actual stay I received an email that 'my credit card has been declined'. I called them right after I received this message, to see how I can pay, but they just dropped the call. At the same time, the hotel disappeared from the hotels.com website and...

A wonderful location in the center of old Maastricht. Cosy breakfast, nice rooms, parking close by underground beneath the Vrjithof. We reserved two rooms with a view out onto the church across the street (and we were acknowledged as having reserved those specific rooms). One room was perfect, just as reserved. Unfortunately, the other room was given away to someone...

OK, so this isn't a hotel, this seem to clash with some of the other reviewers comments. I wanted a cheapish place to stay overnight in Maastricht, something that was not a hostel and not a 4 star hotel, there is plenty of B&B in the town, but I selected De Hofnar because of how easy it is to book...

We stayed in the hofnar for two nights and I didn't sleep one of them. The room was just too noisy and too small. The owner is very annoying, I would subcribe it as arrogant, not friendly at all. Do not expect any customer service and a great breakfast, cause you wouldn't find it here.

Not a very pleasant stay because much too expensive. We paid 82 euro for an extremely small room with no bath nor toilet en suite. There's no double glass so it's like sleeping on the street so clear are the noises from passers by, cyclists, cars and church bells early in the morning. The toilet was very small too but the...
