Situated right behind the Vrijthof (the main city square of maastricht), the accommodation offers a clean and quiet stay (room facing the backyard) right in the middle of the city centre. The room and private wc are clean and comfortable. The room we stayed (n. 6) even had a balcony. Wifi is good and included.. Notes: - several people mentioned...

Wonderful staff, breakfast reasonable cost for area and plentiful.Easy to find directly across from St Servius cathedral.Short walk to Square. We had a delightful room private bath. Very soft mattress was our only complaint, perhaps time to replace.

Must go for a stop over or weekend in Maastricht. Nice and refreshing. Location is perfect in centre of Maastricht, nearby de Vrijthof. 10 minutes walk from a cheap parkingspace. The staff is very friendly. We really recommend this place!

I had a perfect stay in the hofnar. The location was about 20 meters of the Vrijthof (an important place in Maastricht). Further the staff was very friendly. The room we had was clean and beautiful and we had a great view from the window. I defenitely would recommend this place!!!

We stayed towards the end of August for 1 night. Just as we entered the hall, we were greeted by a very attentive and friendly staff. The overall atmosphere was very friendly and homely. The location is great, right above the Vrijthof square, close to many nice cafes and restaurants as well as many boutiques. The only downside was that...

My mother and I stayed in De Hofnar for 1 night. We booked through their website. We received a very nice welcome by Maartje who was very helpful and gave us some tips on where to have lunch. We used their parking near the hotel. It's a 5 min ride and a 10 min walk from the hotel (at the...

I stayed in the attic room for 8 days. At first i came, i really worried bout its small (triangle shape room) n not sufficient air blowing in because there is just only one window on the roof slope. But when i tried to stay for the first night , i found it very private and comfortable to stay n...

I stayed in this place two nights in April. I liked about breakfast, low rates and good location very close university and Vrithof. Rooms are tiny, walls are paper-thin, pillows are not best possible and stairs are narrow and high. With heavy luggage, stairs are not nice. Be aware that water for washing hands is in the room, but in...

The hostel is ideally located only a 2 minutes walk from Vrijthof (the central square) and less than a 10 minutes walk from the main parking areas around the city center. Rooms are small but it's ok for short stays. Clean bathrooms and toilets, rich breakfast and perfect staff.

After working my way through their rather bad website I booked a few nights stay at the Hofnar in room 11 with a beautiful view over the church and square right opposite. Breakfast simple but nice. Stairs are steep and quite a challenge with a heavy suitcase. As the building is old and obviously not originally layed out as a...
