I spent one night here and I have to say it was very comfortable indeed. A light lunch followed by an excellent evening meal in the hotel's restaurant. A super comfortable bed and a very quiet room, which was spotlessly clean, made for a really good sleep, breakfast the next morning was just perfect. Importantly, the staff were lovely, a...

Liked the hotel but it is a bit far from the center. You need a car or a taxi ride to come and go. Bus close by; 7-8 minutes walking. Rooms are good, a bit small but nice. Breakfast also good. I am not sure I would stay here if businesd is in the center! But for just to stay...

Nice business hotel with a very good restaurant for dinner. The breakfast offers a good variety of food. Single rooms are spacious enough for a couple of nights. For longer a larger room would be advisable. The highway is quite close and from my room the traffic made a continuous noise.

My second stay at this hotel after several previous visits to Groningen had failed to identity a decent hotel, apart from of course the Prinsenhof, but the rates there are often prohibitive. The Mercure is convenient for my business but far enough from Town to warrant having a good restaurant. And that is where the Mercure scores highly. The hotel...

I really enjoyed my stay here during the Eurosonic Convention. The rooms are comfortable, clean and most importantly very quiet. I didn't hear a peep all night and I'm a very light sleeper. The bed is very comfortable and the free drinks in the mini bar are a very nice gesture toward their clients. The breakfast buffet has everything including...

This Mercure has an excellent restaurant for dinner and buffet breakfast. The food was truly delicious, and the breakfast counter full of goodies! When I explained my surprise about the price I had to pay for a single room, I found out that overall, in all hotels, Groningen was fully booked at this time of the year, and that this...

Stayed here for 2 days. Was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, the quality meals and choice of wines by the glass. Great quiet rooms. Everything you wish for on a business trip. There is a free Nespresso coffe machine at the entrance during morning.

I loved staying in the Mercure Groningen Martiniplaza! Nicely welcomed or served at the bar by charming people! I slept like a baby in a very comfortable bed! I loved the green way of thinking : like 5€ discount at the restaurant if you do not require that your room is made every day. Free drinks in your minibar....

We chose to book a "Mystery Hotel" via a booking site and whilst our disappoitment lies mostly with the booking site itself for allocating us this hotel, we feel it reasonable to warn others that the Mercure Groningen is strictly for those attending a conference or show at the adjacent Martiniplaza, its not a place you'd want to stay if...
