Stayed here on a business trip. The hotel is situated in the city center of Leeuwarden. This makes it nice to be close to restaurants, shops and bars, but it also makes it difficult to park. Although the hotel has a parking garage, it is across the street, about 150 meters. The room was modern en very big. Unfortunatly the...

We stayed in the imperial deluxe suite for our anniversary, really impressive at first glance! Huge room (around 70m2), fantastic hot tub (could have been better maintained) but lights weren't working properly unfortunately. We had a good deal on this room so weren't bummed out by details such as the lack of a minibar, or at least a fridge. We...

The hotel is situated in the centre of Leeuwarden in a beautiful historical building. The rooms are spacious but could have been cleaner (the phone for example looked very dirty). It is a listed building with single glazing in the centre of Leeuwarden so be prepared for a lot of street noise. Breakfast was good although on the final morning...

We stayed in the imperial suite, which is recommended. Furthermore we booked a romantic package with a very nice tasty dinner . Nevertheless due to the price we paid we would have expected higher standards: 1. Staff was polite but not really friendly. 2. No mini bar in the room 3. Jacuzzi was working but old 4. Floor of the...

This hotel is situated in the centre of Leeuwarden. So well within walking distance of the bars and restaurants, this unfortunatly leads to a noisy environment, at least on Saturday nights. Parking of your car can be in front of the hotel, and I mean right in front of the door ! This is against an upcharge of € 15,--...

Beautiful place with the grandeur of the past still visible. Very helpful staff, spacious room, and good breakfast. (Only one minor detail to complain about: why do so many good hotels have these crappy ironing machines?)

From the outside, this hotel looks splendid, a true palace with a rich jistory, which is proudly displayed throughout the whole building. From the inside, it needs some work. We had room 18 on the second floor which have the look a bit like attics. Parts of the wall have no paint on them, parts of the rug are missing...

The hotel layout was a bit confusing, but the rooms were wonderful. Very spacious and comfortable. It was also a perfect location for exploring Leeuwarden. Everything was walkable and the town is so charming!

The location is outstanding for enjoying Leeuwarden. The common areas and landscaping at the back are wonderful with great sitting areas. The rooms are somewhat dated but spacious and clean. Breakfast was yummy and served in the cheerful and airy breakfast room. This is an elegant place we will certainly return to on our next visit to the area.
