I recently stayed at the Lamphey Court Hotel, I wish i could be positive but I can't. Originally booked a family room, which turned out to stink of mold and mildew, setting off my asthma. As we booked on a non refundable basis I took up an offer of an alternative room. The second room was clean but tired, the...

This is an impressive and imposing building. A former stately home converted into a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The public rooms are very grand and well appointed. The pool and spa area were excellent. See separate review for the restaurant.

It was my partner Diane's birthday and we booked for a long weekend arriving on Friday afternoon. After a small miscommunication which looked as if it might add a cloud over our weekend the Staff bent over backwards to help and thanks to the receptionist, Katharine, Mel in the restaurant and the General manager Mervyn, Diane and I had a...

Rooms - ok, fair space. Beds not the best in fairness - most of our Group had trouble sleeping. This could possibly also be due to the difficult to control Central heating which was smashing it out!. Windows open all night , ground floor - not the safest option. Clean & Tidy though, fresh linen etc. Spa - great, just...

From the outside this hotel looks stunning. Indeed the spa facilities are clean and modern. Unfortunately it is clear however that the four star rating is attributed to the spa extension rather than the hotel itself. The room we were offered originally was in the buildings away from the main hotel. The room was dark, very tired and not looked...

Great Spa (decent pool, steam room, sauna, gym), great location (for east Pembrokeshire coastal walks), good family rooms, friendly staff. Dinner ok, but breakfast was only disappointment - expensive for little cold choice and average fry-up.

Having been assured that disable rooms were on the ground floor ,we were looking forward to an overnight stay, only to find when we arrived there were 10(TEN) steps to get to the ground floor !!! The doors to narrow for a wheelchair to go through, also very narrow and twisting corridors not at all suitable for manoeuvring in, rooms small with...

Spa break deal. Table booked for Lunch so hotel aware of us eating. On arrival at reception to let them know of our arrival, we were pointed to conservatory. This was freezing cold. Eventually a overly familiar waiter arrived. He only then turned the heating on. We ordered lunch but were not offered the prosecco that was part of the...

Please don't believe the negative reviews, we very nearly cancelled our stay on that basis and so glad we didn't. We stayed in the main hotel which was spotless, beautifully furnished in the style of the era. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was very good. The jewel in the crown has to be the spa which...
