I booked this place based on a friend's recommendation, I guess our taste is different. This place should not be classified as a hotel, but rather cabins. It's very rustic and has a certain charm to it if you're going for that feel. The walls are very thin though, we could hear the man snoring from the room next to...

the beauty and simplicity of this fine hotel was totally awesome ,i can now tick off country style living ,there is no air-con in this hotel but who needs it ,my room had a balcony ( make sure your room has one ) the cool breeze that comes in is enough, they have a fine bar and restaurant and the food...

Decided to have a late lunch at the Oribi Gorge Hotel. Lovely gardens and sandstone buildings. Lunch was lovely and reasonably priced. But everything has an air of neglect about it. The hotel hasn't much character and hopefully the new owners can add some 'life' to the old dear!

We decided to visit the Hotel for a light lunch one Sunday. We were greeted on arrival and well looked after by the staff. The food was good however we found the decor and general ambiance of the Hotel very dated and the surrounding gardens a little run down. I know that the Hotel has recently changed hands and so...

Stopped for mid morning tea on way to seeing the Gorge. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful. My daughter ordered a beef pie - odd time of the day, but anyway! The pie was the best we've tasted in ages - pastry was perfect with a generous filling of good quality beef, and the flavourof the carrots could be...

This was a last minute booking so we weren't sure what to expect. The hotel needs an update and is quite rustic but the room was comfortable and clean . The restaurant serves basic meals but the standard of the food and service was good. The breakfast was good, The hotel is within walking distance of very beautiful walks and...

The Hotel has a bit of a log cabin look to it. While it's nice to look at, it smells pretty rough due to the negligence. Everywhere is mold, hence the bad smell. We had 4 rooms, 3 of which the bathrooms you could go in but only if you really had to. However, the last bathroom was utterly disgusting....

It was a rainy day and we did some exploring. Had a superb breakfast/lunch at the hotel and walked around in the lovely garden. Very decent prices and their coffee was delicious. Even had space for desert.

Much to our dismay we had a shocking experience at the restaurant at the hotel. Once seated no waiters attended to us- we had to continuously wave and put up our hands to try and get someone's attention- waiters would look at us and just ignore us! Once we finally ordered our food it came reasonably quickly however no cutlery...

I didn't actually stay at the hotel but I had lunch at their restaurant after spending some time at the gorge. The place looks rustic and was quite tranquil to say the least. The food was divine......
