Traveled to Newcastle for work and had to spend one night at Newcastle country lodge because our usual B&B was full, My colleague and checked the website and found the pictures quite satisfying and the scenery is beautiful however when we had gotten there that was not the case with the rooms. Rooms are dirty, bathroom has not been cleaned...

Another one of those comfortable but non-nurturing overnighters. Nothing really wrong but nothing overly right. Bed was OK, TV reception was good, no fridge, very soft and lean towels. However do hotels and guest houses not know those tiny shampoo bottles simply do not want to give up their contents? Once you have fought it out of there the hot...

Amazing place to relax and unwind. Thank you for the great service and clean facilities. The coffee was great and service was super. We did not eat anything but I am sure it will be nice as well. The little dam was a hit with both adult and kids, we will be back.

I have been to the Inn a few times on business. It was once again a great experience with the service and food as I have come to expect. I missed out on the hot peanuts this time around but trust it is still served in the pub after hours. Thanks for a great stay !!! again !!!

We have stayed at the Country Lodge several times and have been personally met and served by the owner who lives in a cottage on site. The lodge is about 5km out of town on the road to Memel. If dinner is required it has to be ordered when booking in but the food is home made country style and...

During the last Newcastle trip I was due to poor planning forced to stay in three places of which the County Lodge being the last. This will be the first choice next time. Nice swim and view. We did not have dinner there but the pub style peanuts while having a drink will be remembered for life. The breakfast was...

I have stayed twice now and had the best breakfast in the morning. The room is private and has a little veranda to sit on and get fresh air undercover. It's a little out of town near a complex of restaurants on the old Memel Road. Wonderful at sunrise and sunset. Dinner served large and in country style. Will stay...

I suspect that thus place might be the only option in the provincial town of Newcastle and to be fair it does offer the basics. However I was unimpressed by the lack of capacity in the restaurant and an initially indifferent response on a service issue. On the latter point, one of our group wanted to change rooms because the...

Excellent lodge just outside newcastle. Away from the town yet very close to everything. Rooms are spotlessly clean, smell great and are very comfortable. Reception staff are very welcoming friendly and willing to help you in every way. Perfect stop over lodge or the perfect place to explore battlefields route. has a small dam for fishing and lovely gardens. loved...
