A delightful hotel in the lovely town of Montreux. Great access from the train station (right across the road). Beautiful lobby, with teasing views of the lake. Room was spacious, bathroom modern. We chose a Superior Queen room 'City view', and the view was lovely from the little balcony. We had one dinner and one breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Food was nice, although quite expensive (combination of Switzerland and the Australian dollar). All staff were friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is directly opposite the train station and faces the lake . The location is spot on . Staff are friendly and accommodating. They gave us some great recommendations on how to spend our time in Montreaux . Highly recommend the steak restaurant inside the hotel . Only minor negative just wished they had AC as the rooms can get very warm.

The Grand Hotel Suiss Majestic was a wonderful stay in Montreux. We had a room facing the lake on a higher floor, and loved our balcony and view of the sunsets over the lake. The room was clean and spacious, and bathroom was nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious and location was extremely convenient to local sights and the train. Customer service was exceptional. 10/10 would recommend!

Location and vibe are perfect. Excellent staff at checkin reviewed everything needed to know. Room was spacious w comfy beds and amenities. Room rates are comparable to others. Spa a bit disappointing because hamman was long broken. Gym good. Food not tried. Free transit pass was helpful.

This Marriot property is a large, historic hotel with beautiful views. Perfect location to visit Montreux. Fine dining in the hotel and nearby. The train station is directly across the street from the hotel.

On entering the glass doors, you climb up steps to get to the huge lounge area, at the end of which is the restaurants that offers great views of Lac Leman. To the right is the reception area and the bar. The building looks grand, with beautiful old style staircases. The carpeting is expensive looking, with wider-than-usual corridors. The location is great, sitting right in front of the train station, and taking the public stairs just outside, leads you to the lake front. The guest rooms are nicely-sized, with an antechamber and an outer an inner door, like older style swiss hotels. The photo art theme is carried into the room, with turn of the century photos of Montreux and canton Voud. Everything is serviceable, with nice soft pillows and comforters, glass topped tables, a small lounge chair and work desk chair in cream leather, nondescript cabinetry to house the hangers, flat iron and ironing board, safe, Nespresso coffee maker, reading lights, and ref. The floor is dark wood tiles (though not sure if ceramic). The other movable piece is the heavy floor lamp. The mirror in the antechamber is tall, solid and wooden-framed. We didn’t like the toilet too much, because there was a one-inch step up which can catch you if you don’t remember. And when we were there, the smaller flush didn’t work (the big one did) and even though we left a note for housekeeping, it never got fixed in the four days we were there. We also didn’t appreciate too much the separate hot and cold handles in the washbasin and shower since it takes some time to get the adjustment right. The temperature was centrally controlled so if you felt cold, the only option was to turn it off. The TV panel was on the smallish side, though we did appreciate that it had CNN and BBC, which we often missed with some other swiss hotels. The contents of the minibar was complimentary and they had bottles of water always provided – plus there. There were enough electrical outlets on the night tables and work desk. Breakfast is in the main restaurant, where the tables are arranged to give a bit of needed space between diners. There are a lot of staff, which is unusual this time of year for swiss hotels. There’s enough raw veggies, salmon, we were surprised that there was rice and cooked veggies, you could boil raw eggs yourself, but no special-cooked eggs nor coffee served – you used the coffee maker yourself. Very Nice, old majestic hotel Got a room with a small terrace out by The lake, wonderfull view. Good breakfast where u could order eggs etc. Restaurant a bit pricy. I would first like to state that the dinner we had at the hotel restaurant was quite good although the service (as is the case in most of Switzerland) was terrible. The hotel itself is quite nice to look at, but it is noisy, the beds are quite frankly the absolute worst I have ever tried to sleep on, and they advertise they have air conditioning, but they would not turn it on because it was not a certain temperature outside. Their solution was for us to open the balcony doors, which would be fine if it weren’t directly over a very busy street. There are not enough words to convey exactly how much I despise this hotel and even if it were offered to me for free, I would choose to stay somewhere else.

We stayed 3 nights at this property. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our room. There was a small balcony adjoining our room with a small table and two chairs. The room was spacious and kept immaculate by the housekeeping staff. The buffet breakfast was quite good with a variety of selections. The hotel is right across from the train station and just up 1 block from the Main Street. Finding it was a little difficult because the signage on the road is small (had to drive around the block 3 times before we saw it). The WiFi was dependable.

This hotel is a great choice for a stay in Montreux. It's very well located across the street from the train station with lovely views of the promenade, Lac Leman, and the mountains across the water. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Superior Room with a partial lake view. While a bit small, it was comfortable for our two night stay. We were on the first floor, which is actually two floors below reception - I think this was the first time I've gone down to get to my room :). But we had a nice view of the promenade and a small balcony. We heard no street noise at all with the doors closed - which I was quite impressed by given we were nearly on top of the busy street below. We visited Montreux at the tail end of a heat wave - temperatures outside were over 30 celsius. The AC in the room did a good job of keep it cool. The hotel has a large terrace off reception home to a restaurant and bar. We had lunch there one afternoon and got lucky with a seat right at the railing. What a treat having a drink and lunch with such an incredible view. My more constructive comments are that the common areas of the hotel feel really old - the hallway to our room felt ancient. We also heard every movement the person above us made. On our second night, we heard pounding music until well after midnight - I don't know if it was from the salons of the hotel that were close to our room, or if it was somewhere further afield. Thankfully I had ear plugs with me. As others have noted, the hotel has no parking but we had no trouble parking in the train station garage across the street.
