We booked last minute, arrived and were received so warmly - like old friends. Our room was great - light and airy. From our balcony, we had a view of the summit of the Matterhorn. The hotel is very charming and quaint. Beautiful garden (including Edelweiss) and so close to the centre of everything. Breakfasts are the best we had...

Natalie and Manuella, the sisters who own and run Alpina, could not have treated us any better. We had accidentaly booked the wrong date here and didn't realize it until we were pulling into town, but they answered our call at 10pm, came down to meet us at the hotel, and offered us a room anyways. And they were so...

What makes this property is the wonderful sisters who Ron the hotel. They are hard workers, honest and go out of there way to make you happy. The rooms are simple. The breakfast is very good. I highly recommend this property to base your ski vacation from.

Spent a few days at Alpina hotel when skiing in Zermat area - a lovely skiing experience! This is an ordinary hotel when it comes to facility standard, but great service from the 2 sisters running it! Zermat is a nice village, and a great area for skiing.

Old-fashioned and simple but very clean and good hotel in the heart of Zermatt! Small rooms but all facilities are ok. Very friendly ladies who run the hotel and btw they gave us money back for 1 night as we decided to leave earlier which was really nice of them!!! Pragmatic option to stay in expensive Zermatt!

The Alpina is situated in the very center of Zermatt- anything is in walking distance. The hotel itself is old fashioned but has its charme. Rooms are small and functional. The two ladies running the hotel are very helpful and friendly. Walls are bit thin- bring ear plugs if you have a light sleep.

Hotel Alpina is a family run hotel. It's easy to find with the map and direction gaven by the hotel. Good location, it's just a short walk to the main street in Zermatt with many restaurants and shops. The sisters who run the hotel are superb friendly and nice. As I was leaving early in the morning, they packed my...

Hotel is cozy and clean. There is lift (3-4paxs only). Breakfast is pretty simple but its tasty. The 2 sisters who are in-charge of managing the hotel are friendly and helpful. There is no kettle in the room. But you can ask the ladies for a thermoflask of hot water. The view from rooms are good. The environment is good...

Beautiful small hotel tucked away in a cute, quiet little corner, off of the main street. Although Zermatt is a car-free village, it still sees it's fair share of taxis and service vehicles, so you are far from any street noise. It is an easy walk from the train station, and I was carrying two backpacks. My lovely single room...
