This is a great hotel. Christiane, the manager, is the most superb hotelier I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Very kind; very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. A consummate professional. When our friend had a ski injury Christiane immediately offered practical help. The hotel is also in a great location. Reasonably priced. Very nice breakfast. Clean and...

This hotel located at center of the city, very convenient location. The hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and Christina even recommend certain local food. Even after we checked out, we came back for our luggage, Christina is very helpful and give us tea and fruit etc. Very very friendly staff and made our day. I definitely...

We loved Zermatt and this made a terrific base for our family. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location within walking distance of the old town and all the sights. Beautiful gardens with gorgeous lupines. Recommended.

This hotel may not be as luxurious as other ones in its neighbourhood, yet it offers nice clean rooms, right next to the main street, a couple of minutes from the train station and bus stops, with very reasonnable prices for Zermatt. Be aware that not all rooms have an en-suite bathroom, these were just across the hall in my...

We stayed at the Tannenhof with our family of 5 between Christmas and New Year for our ski vacation. Zermatt can be VERY expensive! So, this hotel worked great for us: it is not a luxury hotel, but very well set-up for skiing and enjoying life in the lively part of town. The rooms are not large but the beds...

I stayed with some friends for one night. The hotel is in a great location. The owner, Christiane, is charming and hospitable. This is a simple great value establishment. The breakfast was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable. I would be happy to return

The day was clear and the Matterhorn wore a stripe of light at sunset as we rode the train into town. We were advised "don't bother" to go to Zermatt unless it was clear - and we lucked out! Called the Tannenhof Hotel on the way into town and owner was very accommodating - she'd stay in the office until...

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Our room was tiny and the ceiling was so low you thought this must be the basement. The room was also right next to the staircase. Whenever someone walks through it all the wood is creaking so loud you can't sleep. Never again.

We stayed 3 nights here. A friendly hotel where you have a home sweet home feeling. Not expensive, good location. Their home made breakfast buffet is very delicious. Shared bathroom and toilet but you will not feel inconvenient. Clean area, internet at lobby but sometimes you can access in the room. They will give you advise to travel and also...
