Spent a night there in a small plain bedroom. Perfectly adequate though. The piano bar during the World Economic Forum was great fun. The resident pianist, Barry is actually a Canadian. He was terrific at 'reading' the room and getting everyone involved and or appreciating his music. Many we'll know tunes, American song book, Billy Joel etc. Great for rousing...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel over new year for a 460 CHF/night with breakfast included but no balcony. The room was good size with tv cornet with sofa, however old and weary, mostly clean but some storages for clothes were dusty, and the room was really cold and we were freezing. The floor was really cold and I...

This hotel was very average. Clean and warm. A nice reception from the staff. However, when taking a shower the water went past the shower door and wet the toilet, toilet paper and made a large lake on the floor that you could almost fish in. There was no tea and coffee making equipment nor ice making equipment. There was...

I stayed at this hotel as part of a Shearings holiday (Swiss alpine railways). The room was comfortable with a good bed, the shower was powerful and temperature of water good. The hotel supplied a guest card which allowed free use of busses trains and cable cars in the local area. The food at the hotel was good, breakfast was...

I was in this hotel for a four nights in December. The entrance was not interesting and the lobby was small ,but the warm reception compensated it.My room in 3th floor ,was big enough and it had a view to the next restaurant,so it wasn't noisey! I think that the location of the hotel (proximity to the markets and the reception...

wou: how friendly the staff, beeing B'fast or at Front Desk. the historical touch is special and the staircase a must to walk up to your room. The Loggias = balconies are outstanding, exp. toward Tinzenhorn. Thanks for giving me that room on 5th floor, allthoug you would have ot walk with suitcase from 4th to 5th.-.

Sometimes I wonder, what... how does one hotel get 4 stars when it clearly does NOT deserve them? How?? Who awards them? Hotel Europe is a very outdated hotel, with the furniture that looks old and greasy, carpets are overused and tired, the cigarette smell in the hotel sticks to everything (to think we had a non-smoking room!), the bathroom...

Just returned back from a fantastic long weekend ski break in Switzerland. Davos is approx 2 hours from Surich by car and well worth the journey. There are two ski areas straddling the main valley giving a wide range of options for both beginners and experts. Hotel Europe is well located on the Main Street in Davos, a 5 minute...

This is a really convenient hotel right on the main drag in davos. 5 minutes from davos platz station. Rooms are ok but old decor. Shower is in the bath as opposed to stand alone. No restaurant but two ethnic restaurants. The Chinese one doubles for buffet breakfast and breakfast is fine. There is a piano bar with a really...

Reception staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast staff a little difficult at first. On first day, as part of a group, we were told that the hot breakfast was only for the Chinese & the waitress got very stressed telling our tour manager we were verbally attacking her. Phone to tours head office resulted in the hot breakfast being available to...
