We met friends in overcrowded Arosa, it was our first time here and we were very happy at the Praetschli. The hotel is located at the end of a road, peaceful and quiet at night, lively and sometimes a bit too crowded during sunny days. The house had a makeover and it turned out very beautiful and stylish, yet, we still felt history and tradition. My husband loved the smoking lounge. Breakfast in the old "Speisesaal" is so nice, that we didn't want to leave into the cold some days. The Spa is fantastic especially after a snowy day. Before dinner a piano player is playing and the atmosphere is so nice in this traditional room with palm trees, old fauteuils and candle light. We thank you all for our beautiful days.

Great location - ski in ski out. The food is excellent!!! We also appreciated the free lunch for the kids and their parents as kids are always hungry after a morning out on the slopes! The Spa is modern, relaxing and never too crowded. We are going back this year.

Awesome location, staff and food. Was here for a weekend and loved the hotel. Probably the best location in town, with an amazing view of Arosa. Located directly at the ski slopes and a kids ski school. Nice and friendly staff.

Located just next to Prätschli Ski Lift, with an opening time of 3 pm, makes this Swiss dining hut just the right place for an incredible lunch with your loved ones. We tried both the traditional raclette and fondue with moitié moitié, and couldn't be pleased more with the taste and service quality. They are serving a nice selection of both glass or bottled wines, a very good tasting gluehwein and a very delicious bunder gerstensuppe (barley soup), which is a must try after a strenuous day of skiing on the Alps.

Already for many years our address for winter sports holiday with our family. The hotel is family owned with great and friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable. It's location is perfect with quick access to the ski piste, just walking across the small square in front of the hotel and on the end of the skiing day you can end up just in front of the hotel. The Arosa ski piste have plenty of skiing slopes with large variety of difficulty level. Also with great area for young children to learn skiing. Further Arosa has many opportunities for great hiking.

If you want to spend a week or more in the Alps at a gracious european hotel that has all the modern comforts and amenities combined with old world charm and hospitality, the Hotel Pratschli is for you. It's at the top of a mountain in Arosa, Switzerland. You can have all the charm of a small village in the Alps, but stay above the noise and bustle of village at a hotel that is ski in and ski out with excellent views, and its own ski rental shop. The Hotel Pratschli has three restaurants. So if you tire of the extravagant nightly 4 course meals in the first class dining room, you can opt for cheese fondue in the ever so charming Pratschli Stahl, or an extensive a la carte menu or meat fondue at the Locanda restaurant. What I like best is the large lounge for guests to spend the evening sipping cocktails, playing cards, reading, or listening to the piano player who entertains nightly starting at 6pm. We come with a large group and after a hard day of skiing, spend the evening together eating, drinking, playing games, and generally visiting. At the top of the mountain, you can meander on well groomed walking paths, or ski, sled, or snow shoe around. If you want to get into town, it takes 5 minutes by ski, sled, or the free bus that comes every 20 minutes. Arosa is a quintessentially charming Swiss Alps town for shopping, restaurants, or walking. This winter, they are adding on a new wellness / spa facility with a pool. It will greatly enhance the experience for those who like to relax and those who enjoy fitness.

We were in Arosa for only 2 days, hence we wanted a hotel situated right in the ski terrain, and this is what we found. Once you leave the hotel entrance you can literally put your skis on and plough straight down to the first lift, which then takes you further up. The hotel is fairly big, but once inside it is very nice and cosy. The staff in general is very kind and attentive to your need and services. We only had breakfast, which was a buffet style in one of these grand dining rooms. The breakfast was good, although the trays were a bit empty when we arrived just around 0900. But when we asked for refills this happened immediately. There is a good and free wifi in the hotel. The rooms we had were newly refurbished and especially the bathrooms were very nice and spacious. The cleaning is good. There is a shuttle bus right outside the hotel, which takes you down to the inner Arosa town. But there is plenty to do and see around the hotel, among others it has some really nice paths for walking. The hotel also has sleighs, which you can rent free of charge and the socalled rodel bahn is right outside the hotel and it takes you down through the forest to the inner Arosa town, which is a distance of about 1,3 km. All in all it is a very nice hotel, perfect for skiing.

Cozy, comfy room with wooden interior. Friendly hotel staff, good service, rich breakfast buffet, and interesting daily dinner menus. Easy access by public transportation. Wifi can be a bit improved but it won't affect the holiday.
