Elegant historic hotels need a lot of tender loving care. This one narrowly escaped being sold and turned into apartments a few years ago. Luckily, some of the many guests who had been going there for decades (yes, that's the sort of place it is) managed to keep it alive. As a result, there is a bit of a DYI...

I had the pleasure of a room only stay at Hotel Regina Jan/Feb. I loved my simple room with mountain view. What impressed me most was the friendly staff and charming quirkiness of the hotel. Of course super convenient for skiing and the Co-op. Nothing was ever a problem in this warm, welcoming Hotel.

We stayed here during one of Mürren's busiest weeks. Hotel Regina has the air of an old grand swiss hotel and as it is located right in the middle of this beautiful village I naively thought 'how bad can it be?' The rooms are small and not maintained, peeling paint, dirty unkept floors and the worst part is the paper...

My wife and I stayed here late September (half-board) and had a really great time. We wanted something simple and clean, and this was it: a nice double room with a mountain view. We did not have a private toilet, but that was fine with us: it's all part of the experience, and we came to Europe to do things...

The air in Mürren is clean and crisp, and Hotel Regina is the epiphany of simple luxury - not at all lavish, but in every way stylish. What there IS NOT: Private toilets and showers, cleaning every day. What there IS: The best view you'll ever wake up to (promise!!), extremely service minded staff, a sense of living where the...

Stayed here for 4 nights and regret every minute of it. Everything in the room was old. We had to move two of the twin beds together so my husband and I can sleep together. The beds would feel like they fall apart soon. The walls were paper thin. The hotel was "nice" to provide earplugs with the stay. The...

We stayed here during a hiking trip. They rooms were nice, large and clean, with a wonderful view of the Jungfrau from the back deck. Working the front desk was Michele who was very helpful. The manager Benjamin provided us with some hiking tips and volunteered to call up to the Rotstockhutte to check on the snow conditions up high....

It´s a very good option if you know what your are purchasing. According to our perspective the Regina is not an hotel but an excellent hostel. The service is excellent and the panoramic view from the rooms are unique in the village. Most of the rooms have no private bathroom. This is an old design building (1895) but with good...

Dear Gustavo Thank you very much for your honest rating. We are a simple but charming historic hotel with shared showers on the first and third floor and shared toilets on each floor. The WiFi is working only on public floor, but not in the rooms. When you were staying there was a large group of skiiers that had special...

The place is Wonderfull and I was here a few times before (10 years back), but this time I was really sad to see the changes. It seems that they try to save money at the wrong place. It looks like luxury, but it is cheap! The food at the Hotel's restaurant is never enough and really not good. They...

I booked a double room with private toilet. A room with a stunning view of the mountains! At one point, the cloud traveled into the balcony, it was so beautiful to see it closing up. It was raining when I arrived at Murren via Cable car (large ones with plenty of space for luggages if not too crowded) then transfer...
