If you're looking for local Swiss flavor, this Hotel is for you. My husband and I have been coming to the Waldhotel almost annually for 30 years! In fact, we don't even consider looking anywhere else in Interlaken for accommodations. The Schneider family are so kind and so helpful. Family run Hotels are slowly disappearing in Switzerland, so we highly...

This is the 5th time I have stayed in the Waldhotel and I am looking forward to coming again next year. Stefan and his family are the most friendly, helpful people and it is like coming home. The hotel is suitable for our walking group and is very clean with good, basic meals.

A group of walkers stayed at this hotel and have done do for a number of years but this was my first visit and experience of a group walking holiday. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel staff made you feel very welcome and at home. The rooms were comfortable & clean with its own en suite. Plenty of hot...

We have just returned from our third visit to the Waldhotel and have once again had a brilliant time. Revisiting the hotel is like returning home. Stefan and his staff always make us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are fairly basic but spotlessly clean. The food is nutritious and plentiful. There are incredible views of...

We went here after our 3-day trip in Paris, France. And the change of environment was really a good thing for us. We had enough city sight already. However, carrying big lugagges to get to this hotel was really troublesome. If you have big suitcases with you, get a taxi from the train station, it was not that expensive as...

It was quite difficult to get to unless you take a taxi. There is not much nearby other than the whisky distillery and restaurant opposite. The walk into town took about 15 minutes to the Migros next to the West Interlaken train station. The heater that we had was faulty and blew the room electrics once and then blew the...

We stayed in the "budget" part of the hotel and have to say it was a bit too basic for our taste - but probably about fair for the price paid. It had the air and amentities of a basic hostel rather than a hotel. Our main gripe was the noise - doors, walls and floor so thin as to...

This is a cute, established, loved, barely-maintained, and fun hotel. The owners and staff are so kind and helpful, but for whatever reason(s) it is rough around the edges. The basics are solid: Clean, nice-enough, safe, comfortable-enough. The problem issues are mostly solvable: stop attracting uber-cheap travelers that lurk in the hotel instead of enjoying the surroundings, clean a little...

We stayed in the Budget portion of the Waldhotel, which is not as luxurious and does not have an en-suite bathroom, but rather a shared bathroom. The hotel is a fourth-generation establishment and although a little old, is very clean. My son and I stayed here as part of backpacking through Europe and enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly...

This was my third and best, visit to the Wald Hotel as a member of a group of Walkers .We stayed for 2 weeks and everyone enjoyed the whole experience. This is a great place to stay, with very comfortable, clean rooms and extremely friendly, helpful staff. The informal, family atmosphere added to the pleasure of the stay and the...
