we stayed in the hotel for two nights in early september. i looked up hotels on tripadvisor on our train ride from interlaken, and this one had good ratings. we walked a very short distance from the train station and found it. for $200 CHF a night, we stayed in the additional building behind the main hotel. after traveling throughout...

This is a relatively small, but very comfortable and friendly hotel, ideally situated only a minute's walk from the train station. Village bus stop is also just across the road, and our stay also included free access to the sports centre pool and ice skating. We were booked to stay here for 3 nights, however due to a medical emergency...

We just completed our stay in the Central Hotel Wolter. The location was central to the station and to Grindelwald. The breakfast was perfect with fresh bread, meat and cheese and the staff was very helpful. We stayed in a top floor apartment. Be warned that the temperature was very warm and difficult to control. Also, it was unclear if...

This hotel was amazing! We arrived super late and had to phone ahead to advise that we would miss the check in but they said it was fine and just to phone when we arrived and someone would meet us. The poor guy who did got to freeze with us on the journey to the hotel and squeeze into our...

This hotel couldn't be more centrally located in Grindelwald--it is literally across the street from the central train station. All of Grindelwald is easily walkable, and the Central Hotel Wolter is close to everything in town. The hotel itself is nice--not extremely fancy, but fairly well maintained. Rooms are rather small (I did find myself ducking to clear the low...

Three of us spent 2 nights at this hotel in the connecting room (2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom). The location is great. When you exited the train station, look to the right, you will see it across the street. The room is a little old and worn, but everything functions accordingly. Internet & breakfast were included in my package. We...

This hotel was booked for us as part of a planned hiking tour. An initial issue was that the entry off the main street was up a long flight of stairs with our heavy luggage. A nice woman checked us in and escorted us (two couples) to our rooms in a building behind the hotel (over a building partition) where...

Loved the bus transportation offered right across the street. This allowed us to hike in places we could not have reached on our own. Close to the rail station, shopping, and groceries. We had a nice large room with a balcony, and we enjoyed eating and reading out there. Mountain views were lovely, but the construction mentioned by someone else...

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very nice and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was simply and perfect. Free wifi was good in the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Grindelwald to my friends. For the price and the customer service, I would definately go again.

Reasonable hotel in a good location, central to the town and close to the railway station. Good views out of the front of the front of the hotel, our room had a balcony. However, there is building work going on at the moment, with two cranes which obscure the view somewhat, and the building work will go on until 2015!...
