We stayed at Berghaus Mannlichen in late August. The place is idyllic, with fabulous views of all the mountains of the region, especially the Eiger, Wetterhorn, Mönch, Jungfrau, and the valleys of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. You can reach the hotel via the cable car from Grindelwald or Wengen. The rooms are comfortable, views incredible. The hotel restaurant is excellent, dinner...

Perfectly situated on the Männlichen mountain this berghaus is ideal for a short hiking vacation. To reach it you can go by cable /lift from Wengen or Grinderwald, or you canb of course use you legs and hike, like we did. It is like 2 1/2 hous from Wengen depending on how fast you want to go. The views are...

Spectacular views, comfortable beds, very clean. What more could you want? Great hiking- got that too. The only downside that really needs to be told, is that the cable car ride to the top is pricey, and not included in the price of the hotel. We paid about $120 for the three of us to park our car and get...

The view was so amazing that my 6 yo daughter often says she’d like to return there. Our corner room on the 2nd floor had 2 windows; the east side one overlooking Grindelwald and surrounding mountains and from the south side one, you can see Eiger and playground equipments of this hotel. We enjoyed the still night view of Grindelwald...

We went to Berghaus Maennlichen at the end of July as a special stop over during our journey towards Lago di Commo. I was already hooked when checking out the webcam pictures of the Berghof. They even have an archive that goes back for 2 years and shows a 360 degree picture for every 10 minutes! Riding up with the...

We stayed at the Berghaus Maennlichen for two nights, in June, on our journey from Germany to France........... and to go hiking. I found the nightly cost of this hotel was reasonable, considering how expensive accommodation is in Switzerland. What swayed me to book was the photograph on the website, showing the hotel backed by the Jungfrau, the Monck and...

Stayed for 2 nights to go hiking in the jungfrau region, the hotel is located at the top of the cable cars from wengen and grindelwald. Both stop at about 5pm so plan your trip and days carefully. The wengen cable car is marginally more accessible if arriving by train from interlaken as the walk from station to cable car...

Actually we were looking for an affordable hotel at Kleine Scheidegg, but could not find one. So we decided to spend the night before ascending the Mönch from Jungfraujoch in Berghaus Männlichen. Booking was possible on the Internet and their website www.berghaus-maennlichen.ch described all the necessary details. In the morning it took us just an hour to get to Kleine...
