The double room was too compact with shower, toilet and wash basin in the room itself. A curtain or a wall to separate the bathroom area would have been good. Other than that the stay was comfortable and the hotel staff is also very good and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of fruits.

Firstly, this is not a hotel, but a B&B. It DOES NOT have a lift. So if you are visiting with people with the mobility problems or have lot of luggage, PLEASE think 10 times as it's a 4 story building. The rooms were a bit okay, but the beds were just to small even for the kids - all... More

Well, if that is the "best hotel in town" (as per other reviews), I am puzzled as to standards set in this town. The hotel is situated not far from the centre but vehicle is advised. Property has several rooms. No check-in desk per se and there may be nobody on-site. There is a lock box next to the entrance... More

I picked this hotel because it is very close to my office and I had an early meeting. I had no expectations and just needed a place to sleep. Well, I was very surprised! First of all, I got a double room at the price of a single room. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable with a... More

What a fantastic place! We required a room for 3 adults & were upgraded to the top floor suite with 3 bedrooms for free! The electronic check-in was easy & efficient. We found multiple codes for the WiFi for each of our devices & the WiFi was super fast. The room was spotlessly clean & beds super comfortable. Breakfast was... More

Best hotel breakfast! Our host was so friendly and accommodating! There isn't a better value for a family, or group of 4 to 7 people. it's a bit too far to walk to the old city, abbey etc. But about 200 meters to a bus that takes you straight there or to the train station. I definitely recommend if you... More

Stayed in clean large apartment on 4th floor. Hotel easy to find and plenty restaurants nearby. Included breakfast very good. No elevator so can be long climb with luggage up steps though owner helpful. Also, watch low/sloping ceilings in bedroom. All in all, very nice.

I don’t usually have the time to write reviews, but Hotel Sporting was really exceptional. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and with lots of natural light and fresh air through the two large windows. I was most impressed by how thoughtfully laid out and outfitted the room was – lots of hooks, shelves, towel bars, and places to set... More

Very convenient hotel for one-night stay on a business trip. The room is well furbished and spacious. The TV set has major German and Italian broadcasts, plus some French and International. Downsides are the relatively poor bathroom and the lack of a lift (especially for the elderly). For me both were perfectly fine, and I can only but recommend it.... More

On my last visit to St. Gallen decided to save on my accommodation spendings and selected a hotel with a relatively lower budget, than my usual habit. Found in a trip advisor good recommendation for a 2 star HOTEL SPORTING. This is a small business hotel, located on a south-western side of St. Gallen about 3 kilometers from the old... More
