Even though the health situation was uncertain, we decided to celebrate our Christmas dinner in the winter restaurant O'Raclette. The concept is absolutely fantastic 👏 An original mountain restaurant atmosphere with probably the best raclette cheese you will find in Switzerland ! On the sanitary level, everything was set up with hand sanitizer and protective masks, we felt safe all night long 🙂 Thanks to Beau-Rivage Hotel we spent a great dinner with the team, we will definitly be back next year 💫
A beautiful historic hotel in a lovely location in a picturesque city. Easy walking to the Chateau and museums. Right on the waterfront for strolls and peoplewatching. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open on Monday night (the night of our visit) so we ate on the terrace outside. It was a perfect setting for a nice meal, but the service was frustratingly slow. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and attentive.
A Top Hotel on the best spot and with kind and helpful personnel in Neuchatel. You will be spoiled during breakfast and the Spa is definitely recommended. Situated next to the Lake, and the busstation Place de Pury at its doorstep.
Dear all, I would like to share my very bad experience with you. I had a reservation for the night of Saturday, July 24th. My wife and I have suffered the intolerable and anti-ethical behavior that I hope no one else will suffer again. We arrived at 23:30 and after asking if there was parking space in the hotel area or can someone take the suitcases we heard comments in a very unprofessional way such as you can leave if you are not happy ... Cancel your reservation if you do like what I am saying.... It’s incredible how a 5-star hotel allows such an unprofessionals with lack of ethics in professional environment work as reception when they do not know how to welcome a guest. His overall behavior and attitude was on a such low level, that I have never witnessed before. We never experienced this level of behavior. As a detail, my wife is pregnant and we went to find another hotel late at night not to support this situation anymore. Best regards.…
We wanted to stay with a couple of friends in a really good hotel - and were not disappointed. Magnificient room with a gorgeous view, great comfort, a lot of space - what more can you ask for? The room had a shower and a bath and top quality amenities. We had a top dinner and a very good breakfast. A most impressive place - if not very cheap. The parking space billed ad the same CHF 35.- (inside or outside) on top is a bit of a damper. Luckily the thunderstorm we had didn't bring any hail.
+ very friendly and professional doorman + receptionists - arrogant and unfriendly head waiter - Food was far below 14 gault millau points - 70 CHF for breakfast / day - room old fashioned and NO view at all (only very very small windows) - ‚Spa‘: no Sauna, only very few and old fitness equipment , no pool or jacuzzi; hamam 50 CHF extra cost
We love the Swiss grand hotels and have visited most of them. We booked a couple of nights at the Beau-Rivage Neuchâtel to tick this off our list and explore the town. This hotel has a great location right by the lake and within walking distance to the town's sights and shopping district. Usually, grand hotels take us back in time through their build and interiors. Unfortunately, in this case, we were also taken back in time, but probably about 25+ years when it seemed the hotel rooms were last renovated. The rooms are really dated and not comparable to other similar hotels. Given the town and size, you could probably compare it best with the Grand Hotel du Lac in Vevey which is an amazing small grand hotel and beautifully renovated. The junior suite was quite expensive and it doesn't really give you value for money. We did have a great time in Neuchâtel though, but there is no reason for us to re-visit.…
Nice hotel, good location close to the old town for sightseeing and shopping. Friendly service but not as accommodating as many in its class on breakfast (extra charge for breakfast which was odd for the room class and price we paid). Very nice welcome gift in the room along with a bottle of champagne. Good service yet not over the top.
My wife and I stayed at the Beau Rivage Neuchâtel for two nights for a little getaway from everyday life with the kids. All in all, we had a very satisfying and romantic weekend together. The food and service were superb at the hotel restaurant (Veranda Bar). The location is perfect as well! It is situated right by the lake with quick access to the city center of Neuchâtel. The concierge and reception were friendly and efficient upon arrival and the Hammam Spa & massage experiences were also very unique. For couples wishing to get some time alone in this beautiful town, I would highly recommend this place! Tips: you can rent a bike right by the hotel and ride along the lake at a very reasonable price with the DonkeyRepublic app
I went with my family for Christmas dinner on December 24th.I sent the request 3 weeks before if there is a possibility to replace the main course by vegetarian meal .Unfortunately I never received the feedback and finally during the dinner the poor quality risotto was served..Then in spite of my comment as reaction for this plate made to the "maitre du restaurant " the Chief even didn't come ... I am very surprised by this attitude specially from the 5 stars hotel staff... I understand that it is not easy to change the menu but I am sure it's not so difficult to find creative idea for Christmas veg plate or at least to keep customer oriented attitude. Maybe Lebanese or Mediterranean food could be next time a good inspiration for the Chief...
