This pension is amazing! It is in walking distance from the Lido boat stop, a 20-30 min walk to the city center around the beautiful lake Luzern, and also accessible from a bus (the stop is located at the traffic light 3 minutes from the pension). The room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was large-but if you rather shower, than...

My husband and I stayed at Maria for three nights during a trip to Lucerne. Our room had its own bath right around the corner. That was very convenient. Our room was pretty and clean. The breakfast provided was simple, but perfect. Coffee, bread, a bit of ham and cheese. Much like many European breakfasts and a great way to...

The house is located a little far away, but there is a bus stop right across. We had problems in communication with the property unlike in any other place we stayed. The internet had no response and the phones diddn't always work. As a result we had to walk our way from the station to the pension, wit our luggage!...

This is a very nice place to stay in the expensive city of Luzern. There are only 10 rooms, with a nice breakfast area, lounge, and a garden. Maria, who runs this place, is a very sweet lady, and extremely helpful. Most rooms have shared WC and/or showers. We had booked for a private WC/shower, and we got Room No....

Being a family of four, it was really difficult to find a place to stay in Lucerne with 4 beds that wasn't outrageously priced. We paid 200CHF per night for a quad room. It was very basic, two twin beds pushed together, a futon that opened up to a full size bed and a rollaway twin. We had our own...

We stayed in Pension Villa Maria for one night in September 2007. The hotel was basic but clean and Maria (the hostess) was friendly. The breakfast was good. We paid 160 francs for the night which was very overpriced for such a basic room. In addition when I elected to pay by credit card Maria charged an extra 5% for...

My 6-year-old daughter and I stayed at Villa over a 4-day weekend in October for the Lucerne marathon. For marathon runners, if the course stays the same, the pension is on the start line! We enjoyed our stay in the pension and the city. We paid 90 Euro/night for a triple room--no private bathroom. The three rooms I saw each...

Maria was charming, and gracious. She was helpful and friendly. She made suggestions for sightseeing during our stay that were quite helpful. The accomodations were acceptable, but not luxurious, as was the breakfast. Our problem came when paying. We had booked directly by e-mail with Maria for a room for 3 people for 2 nights. We were clearly quoted a...

My wife and I spent our first two nights in Switzerland at this B&B. While we requested a room with bathroom/shower, one was not available and we settled for a sink in the room with bathroom down hall. This was the only negative. Maria was fantastic and attended to our every need. Room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast excellent and...

Maria was such a warm host, from the time we arrived until the end of our 2-nights stay. She always checked to ensure that all of our needs were taken care of, and often helped with info/tips about the travel plan. We even went lake-cruising based on her recommendation, which was something we didn't plan initially, and we ended-up enjoying...
