The hotel is very well situated. Maximum 10 minutes walking distance to the center of town or the KKL concert hall a must visit for music lovers. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. The amenities are perfect. The bed and mattress very comfortable. As we were going to stay only one night (for a concert) I opted for a city view room which might have been a mistake. That said even the city view room was rather expensive. We had a lovely after concert dinner at the piano bar. Excellent service and food at very reasonable price. All said and done we enjoyed every single moment.

The piano playing in the breakfast and in the evening live. The birthday cake and the postcard. The hotel is just great 175 years old and completely updated in terms of comfort. A memorable view to the lake. The bag with water and chocolates on the last day to take away. The service of the staff... incredible!!! A 5 star hotel with no doubts...

On my arrival, the room keycard did not operate, so I had to go back to the reception to get it fixed, without any apologize from the desk employee. I booked a room with « city view », but the only view I had was a high concrete wall of a carpark. In the bathroom, one lamp over the basin was out of order. The shower cabin is very small, and the door opens inside, so I guess that overweight people could hardly get out of it. On a sunday morning at 7.30, at the first floor, temperature of the water in the shower alternates from cold to hot, which is very unpleasant. I ordered a room service, but the waiter brought me an order from another room, nevertheless he fixed it quickly. Two positive points: the room was very clean, and the breakfast is excellent. In summary, a typical old swiss palace, with some defaults in the refitting, and which deserves upgrading in the service.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Love the very old style architecture and decor of the building. Check in was good but failed to mention about the Luzern visitor code you can use for Wi-Fi around the city or use the buses with. Room was very beautiful and room was a Mozart decor overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good selection and appreciated the lunch box as I had to leave very early in the morning. Location is great as you’re able to walk around Luzern! Only improvement is that they may be short staffed as one day I tried to get my car valet but no one was there to pick up the keys and so I had to park myself on the side to make sure the road wasn’t blocked. Overall great stay and would stay again!
