Everyone has its definition of luxury but for me, true luxury is when everything falls into place and goes unnoticed.

I stayed at Hotel Les Armures with some friends while in transit to a ski resort. The hotel is located in a beautiful 17th century building in the heart of Geneva old town. The rooms are beautifully decorated, well equipped, cosy and beds are truly heavenly. Staff were welcoming, friendly, very professional and accommodating.

We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant which is apparently the oldest café in town. A no frills but laid-back ambience. Here again staff were very professional, and we noticed most of guests were returning locals, which is always a good sign. Dishes
are truly Swiss and sourced locally. The wine list has a large Swiss wines assortment and a lot are available by the glass.

Overall, a truly luxurious experience both product and service wise. A must try!

There is a ubiquity about the modern hotel chain, whether luxury or not, that insulates the traveler from their arrived at surroundings. The kind of establishment that would be featured in the Accidental Tourist. Les Armures is the antithesis of that; it is luxury, all rooms are modern and compressively and beautifully restored and decorated, and has lost none of its old world charm, service, or indeed, location in the Old Town of Geneva. Near everything, staff that are always attentive and able to comply with all your requests, and a breakfast bar that is superb. Surrounded by old style restaurants and bars in that part of Geneva, it is, as George Clooney has already found out (true) the place to stay.

Spent 3 nights early March this year in this quaint boutique hotel located in the old part of town. Very professional, accommodating and friendly service yet un-obtrusive. Everything seems to appear at the right time, at the right place! Seamless check-in is always appreciated after a long haul flight into an extremely well appointed and cozy room.
I truly felt at home at Les Armures and will be back with great pleasure.
PS: the hotel’s brasserie style restaurant serves excellent authentic local fare.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of old town. The rooms are quaint with excellent linens and special touches like evening chocolates, coffee, lightening fast WiFi, and casting tv availability. The staff is top notch and accommodating. The location is the best in old town nestled among the winding streets, potable water fountains, and steps from the best shopping and dining. Ignore the “big box” hotels and truly experience Geneva in first class comfort.

Staff always pleasant and helpful. They were able to find a table for me at the Armure restaurant in a Sunday when it was fully booked. The room was very well appointed with all the necessary toiletries and different black and herbal teas. There is even complimentary still & sparkling water. The bed linens are a dream…especially the pillows!

Great stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of old town Geneva. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed. Loved all the bathroom amenities. We stayed at 4 hotels on our road trip thru Switzerland and they were all 4 and 5 star but this hotel gave the best bathroom supplies of all the hotels. The location was around the corner from the square with restaurants, an ice cream store, bars and a pharmacy. Down the steps, a short walk to the tram and Lake Geneva. We loved Les Armures restaurant for dinner. The fondu is a must. We highly recommend this hotel if you visit Geneva. The staff was professional and very helpful. Fabulous hotel.

Eleven of us ( including grown up children, their partners and two young grandchildren) stayed at Hotel Les Armures for a family celebration in August. We all had the most wonderful experience of staying at this lovely and unique hotel , set in the heart of the old town and a stone’s throw from the Cathedral. Our rooms on the fourth floor were so comfortable, welcoming, stylish and very well appointed. The restaurant adjoining the hotel serves the most delicious regional cuisine ( a special mention for the amazing fondue!) and the service is friendly and impeccable.
Breakfast in the hotel was always a pleasure to linger over, with a wide array of freshly prepared and beautifully presented offerings.
Without doubt the hotel reception staff are among the most helpful, kind and friendly we have met anywhere and went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay in Geneva just perfect.
Thank you ! We will be back.

If you have lots or large luggage don't walk from the train station as it's uphill and, towards the end of the journey, on cobbles. The hotel is in the centre of the historic old town. Like the surrounding buildings it's beautiful with many original features. Reception staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The room (ours was 1st floor) was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Was a little disconcerting to come back one evening to find the guy doing the turn down service at my washbag smelling my aftershave, but I suppose that happens in hotel rooms all over the world. He rushed out looking suitably embarrassed. Because the hotel is squeezed in tight around other buildings, has the dining room on the 2nd floor, and a restaurant on the street, I found our room fairly noisy. Breakfast is in a small, intimate, dining room and the service was excellent. However, this is 🇨🇭so nothing is inexpensive and there is a charge, per person, for breakfast. This was not made clear until our last day, so please bear this in mind.
All in all a lovely hotel for exploring Geneva.

Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for your feedback regarding your experience in our property. As you rightly said, we highly recommend to our guests to take a taxi if they arrive with lots of luggage, it will be indeed much more convenient. We are deeply sorry to read about the incident that occurred during the turn down service. It should never happen in any hotel and be assured that we won't let it happen again. We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again. Best regards,

Hôtel Les Armures is a beautiful hotel in a charming old town location. It’s in a quiet location, but a short walk (1-2 minutes) walk to many restaurants and boutiques. The hotel staff were personable and professional. The room had high quality linens and furnishings. The breakfast room was cozy but charming and the buffet was delicious. We had dinner one night during our visit and the perch was delicious, and our service was very friendly and made our meal very enjoyable. Five stars!

I stayed only one night after hiking parts of Mont Blanc. I was TIRED. Les Armures offered the luxury my body demanded, but the staff was so accommodating. I was allowed to check in a bit early, and they even mailed a package for me since I was only there one night. The Location was perfect, and I love the history. The room was not huge, but it was perfectly appointed. I did struggle with the key, but that’s likely my ineptitude. I loved my stay at Les Armures, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone. And I also ate at the restaurant - fantastic!
